Is the fuel filter on an L24 engine supposed to be full when it is running? The reason I ask, mine is not. I'm wondering if I need to replace my fuel pump. Thanks!

Had my 73 from 83 till 89 and just got a 72 a couple of months ago. You can a man out of a Z, but not the Z out of a man.

What is this fabled Z cd you speak of? I guess I've been doing it the hard way.

Alright. Now that ya got me concerned. What is the difference in the 3-4 wire tachs? My current dead soldier has four light bulb inputs and is connected to a 4 wire harness. However, it appears the two white wires (stripped red and black) are connected to the same area on the back of the tach. Sorry for the stupidity, but this is my first Z in 20 years and I am on a severe learing curve.

Any recommendations on a coil for a 72 240Z? Just replaced the plugs (Bosch Platinums), points, condenser, distributor cap and rotor (Bosch) and replaced the plug wires with Taylor 8.2mm Pro's. Is the standard coil good enough for that or should I look for a replacement i.e Mallory, Flame Thrower etc.? Thanks!

The tachometer in my 72 240Z is kaput. It gets power but is non-functional. Where in the #@!! can I get another? Thanks!

No fans of the Bosch Platinum plugs here? Had them many moons ago in my last 240Z and just got another set for my newest family member.

What are your thoughts on the Weber DGV kits? Had Weber's on my last 240Z and really liked them. Not too happy with the dual Hitachi singles on my 72.

Don't know who you guys are getting parts through, but I gotta give a "heel ya" to Motorsport (zparts.com). Ordered parts through these guys on line. They called me to tell me they were shipping them right then and that the plug wires I ordered were on sale and that they were adjusting my bill! How cool is that? I know $10 might not seem like a lot, but that whole honesty thing was pretty freakin' cool! Two thumbs up for those guys!

You could always cut it off. Sorry, been there done that when I adjusted mine.

Gap point on the plugs should be .032. Good luck. Wanna do mine next?
