Is the K&N the same design/shape as the stock?

Did you check to see if your wife was in the seat next to you? I often get a whining sound coming from the passenger side of the cabin when my wife is in the car. Coincidence?
  3. Wing, the older vins didn't tell as much of a story as the new 17 digit ones do. The older ones usually just told you what model and maybe which engine. That is a cool story though. I wonder why they painted over the orange? Almost any car from a popular TV show or movie will be worth more than just the original car model.
  4. Besides the floor check out the frame rails and in the wheel wells AS WELL AS ALL the other spots the guys mentioned above. $4,500 is a bit steep. If you love the car, offer him $2000-$3000 IMHO.

A great day would have had Paris being sodomized by a grizzly bear, ran over by a Dolly Madison snack truck and then being fed to a tank of angry, half-starved great white sharks! That would be a great day!
  6. Chiquete, The harness that Dave sells to the Z family are the schiznit. He's not selling them to feed his family, he's doing it for other Z lovers while getting a little for his effort. I sure as hell couldn't make one of those harnesses, but I sure as hell have one on my Z. It is a great product and really helps. Thanks again for your efforts Dave. LED tailight conversion? Ohhhhhhh. You have my attention sir!

3-2-1 won, will be in next week. I'm leaving the round tops in and just replacing the cam in the fall so it should work out nicely. Thanks for the input guys. Experience is one of the best gauges of a product.
  8. I'd go with the black or the grey personally.

Maybe he could throw in a little of what he was smoking in the hatch to sweeten the deal?
  10. As the Stones said, "paint it black"! I even blacked out the trim around the taillights. Mine is black, and it compliments the car very well. (body is Laguna Blue Pearl with bright white Daytona stripes)

Put the cut pile in my Z. I really like the look. But then again, I guess anything looked better than those 35 year old rags that covered the floor and the hatch. If I can make a suggestion, when I stipped the carpeted surface, I first coated it with 3M rubberized coating and then put down a sound deadening, heat resistant blanket before I reinstalled the carpet. Makes a lot of difference in the sound in the cabin. I believe Panamared started a thread about sound deadener. I personally think it is a great idea. 12. I ordered it over 180 days ago, when I first thought I had a windshield, so I am out of their return period.
  13. I guess I'm just boned and have to order another set.
  14. Anybody buy the chrome windshield trim from Black Dragon for their windshield(I believe it lists for $129)? I bought it sometime back in anticipation of replacing my windshield. I had the glass replaced today by Safelite and the top chrome piece doesn't even come close to matching the car. Hell, I even bought the rubber gasket from Black Dragon too! Has anyone else bought this kit? thanks.

Thanks Tom. I did see a lot in the previous posts, I just wanted to see if there was an undying love for either of those headers. I just have a somewhat stock exhaust now that isn't seated well and I'm sure it is leaking. Either will be a vast improvement!

I was looking at MSA and debating on the Motorsport header or the 3 into 2 with the turbo exhaust. Opinions from the wise ones either way are greatly appreciated. Any real advantages on one header over the other?
  17. I'm with ya on the Castrol GTX. I run it in my 240. If you are worried about your seals, on your next change try running one quart low and adding a quart of Lucas Oil treatment.

You don't have to take out the dash to remove the tach. There should be two screws holding it in on the back. Well that, the wiring harness and the light bulbs. Remove the tiny screws (damn japanese and their small hands) and the connections and you should be able to push the tach forward. Some models also have a screw just before the bezel inside. I believe it is at 12:00.
