  1. Look at the condition / wear on all of the foot pedals. Do they look 31K worn, or 131K worn? When in doubt of the mileage, this is a good place to look that is often overlooked. Bonzi Lon
  2. Very nice gift, Will. Sounds like it won't take much to get it going, just in time for http://www.bransonzfest.com/ the last week of May. A pair of 73 blue & white's side by side would be like stereo for the eyes. Bonzi Lon

Clutch Fork Boots can be found at Black Dragon #59-110 for $2.95 for a 70-71, #59-111 for $5.95 for a 72-78. Call Black Dragon for a paper catalog, 1-888-789-3746. Bonzi Lon

These are the instructions that came with mine in 1980. I think SBlake has a photo of the key. Bonzi Lon

Before I had internet access, an old time motorcycle mechanic told me about the stuff he used on motorcycle tanks called 'KREEM'. I got 2 kits and refreshed my tank according to the instructions. It worked great. I believe the curing time has plenty to do with problems of it not sticking. My tank sat & cured for 2 years before fuel was introduced. After talking to plenty of farmers around here, they are sold on the "Red-Kote' for all of their diesel tanks. Bonzi Lon
  7. I got my 521 pick up for $800 with 54K original miles, very little rust and drove it onto & off the trailer. Still needs some minor repairs to get it into driving condition. Bonzi Lon

Yes, that is a condenser for reducing electric static on the AM radio stations, there should be one on the alternator also. Bonzi Lon
  9. Back in the day and in my area, it was referred to 'tennis ball' green. Bonzi Lon
  10. Do not go completely by the color you see on your computer screen, there will be slight differences, but it will get you close to what you want. Go to a paint shop to look through their color chips, be prepared to be overwhelmed by the shades, tones, saturation etc... Or go to plenty of car shows to look around and talk to the owners of the colors you like. If you can get a bird's eye view of the show it looks like an Easter basket. Bonzi Lon P.S. Mine is the blue one.
  11. This is a Daytona Blue sitting by my 73 with '1991 Mitsubishi Fiji Blue Metalic' basecoat/clearcoat, with extra metalic and added pearl. They look real close together. Bonzi Lon
  12. If it were mine, I would replace the fuel filter, run the rest of the fuel out of the tank, or as low as possible without being stranded. Remove & inspect the fuel filter, if there is rust debris it would appear its time for a take down and interior inspection. If it has never been done, I would bet it is time. Bonzi Lon
  13. My notes show the 93-2002 KIA Sportage for the door seal. It may sound a little redundant, but it sure helped my door closing, is make sure there is a liberal amount of grease on the striker and moving door locking parts. Bonzi Lon

If it were closer, I'd show up with a trailer and $750 in one pocket, a little more in others, just in case. That possibly could be a profitable flip, bring it to Branson. There is a turquoise 2 door B210 running around town I'm trying to snag, for some odd reason I like them. Bonzi Lon

I wish you Good Luck on your endeavor. Get your car all polished and ready for the Branson Z-Fest the first week of June. Details were pending last I looked, but that was before the tornado. Bonzi Lon

I don't have a shop vac, just a small one. I tried to push the hose in there but it was too large and the vacuum is a wimp. Then tried the air compressor hose with an open end, I think it got packed in there tighter. Then took the air hose to the inside, still couldn't get anything to come out. I will go to the local tire shop and borrow their 'bead blaster', an air tank for low profile tires, the valve dumps ALL the air in the tank at once. I'll connect a hose to it from the inside and blow it out the front. I imagine a filter could be put on the front of the elbows, which could reduce the air flow. I will put 1/2" hail screen on mine. The only reason for the rodent nest was it sat in the back of the garage for 26 years, that was the only rodent damage, so I feel lucky. alternativez: If you remove the elbows, it will cut off or greatly reduce the air flow, or just keep the vents closed. 17. Thanks Blue. The color did it. Right? The McPherson College Show is a fantastic fun event. Last year a student saw my Z, said he had one and would bring it over. He & his friends went to the shop & pushed over his rolling shell 260Z, it was stripped, using vice grips for a steering wheel! It was a stark contrast in before & after. Jay Leno, other well known persons and corporations give quite generously to McPherson College, the only 4 year accreaded College Course in America for automobile restoration. They invite him every year, but has yet to attend the show, someday he will, and I will be there with one of my Datsuns. Bonzi Lon

The black elbows? Right? If 76 is like the 73. At speed, they direct air into a closed tunnel under the fender that runs into the cabin. You control the flow by the vent knob which opens & closed a flap on the duct. Look up under the dash to see the flapper. If you don't have any air movement when open, it could be clogged. The driver's side of mine is stopped up with a rodent nest. I would suggest, and have seen, a screen over the entrance of them to prevent just that. Bonzi Lon
  19. I agree with Jeff G 78, more time should be spent looking at the underside (where the rust really begins) than the top side, get them on a lift for a proper inspection. If you can push on a rusted place & the metal gives, not good. Bonzi Lon
  20. Oops, I should watch for country of origin. Bonzi Lon
  21. Courtesy Nissan has the double wire clamps, however they have a hex head and in a dull zinc finish. ie: radiator hose clamp #01555-00911 (replaces 08723-144400) = $3.80 ea. Bonzi Lon

Yep, that is the one I bookmarked and use quite often just for the drawings. Bonzi Lon
  23. You will also find the little white stamp on the back side of the evaporation tank, (the metal one) has to come out to see it. Bonzi Lon

The pins themselves are tapered from 2.3 to 2.8mm, they should have a steel barrel clip that goes on them for grip to the metal. I did not have any holes to measure on a 240Z, however my 521 pick up has holes that measure about 3.8mm. Hope this helps. Bonzi Lon
  25. I have several person sized pieces of carpet that cover the cold floor before I kneel or crawl under. Bonzi Lon
