Hi Blue 72, Without going out to the farm to have a look, from memory I think it is a '79. Same shape as the 280zx. It was badly rusted in the body but I pulled out the engine, diff, gearbox, electric mirrors etc to be used as spares. Regards David.

Seasons Greetings, I have a head off a L20 Fairlady that has Y70 cast into the side. I was wondering if anyone has any info regarding this head. It has small valves and the round exhaust ports with the steel liners. Can it be modified or is it only good as a boat anchor. Stay safe over the Christmas and New year break. Regards David.

70Z4Fun. Hi Bob, I was wondering if you could tell me the inside diameter of the pipes for the dual system. Regards David.
  4. Hi, Check the lash pad to see if one of the sides is broken off. If one side is missing the rocker arm will slide off . Regards David.

Hi Guys, I have a 3.9 R200 diff in my 260z and it is fitted with a Phantom Grip LSD that I got from the USA. Works like a Detroit Locker in a straight line and a LSD around corners. It's been in the car now for 2 years and works like a charm. Check their website for prices. Regards David.

G'day from down under, It looks like you are using a mechanical fuel pump. I think that if the diaphram has a hole in it ( old and worn ) the pump can lose engine oil through the breather hole. Higher revs more oil. Hope this helps. Regards David.

Hi, I agree with Mark Belrose. Buy the 86.1mm pistons and get the machine shop to hone the cylinders to suit the pistons. The .1mm is only about 4 thou and will probably be taken up by normal wear in the bore anyway. Good luck and happy motoring. Regards David.
  9. Thanks Bigoak, I sometimes forget the different teminology between our two countries. Fender = Mudguard Hood = Bonnet Trunk = Boot Gas Tank = Fuel Tank Hooters = Tits Have a nice day. Regards David.
  10. Don't forget to check the windsceen. Mine leaked badly pre rebuild, so I lifted the edge of the rubber seal on the outside and put a bead of silicone. Problem solved. Regards David.

Hi, The crank will not be a problem. Dress it with a fine file to take off the high points and finish with emery paper. The pulley should be replaced. From the photos it looks as if it has cracks. Have a great new year. David.

Bad Luck on your loss, but i'm curious. You said you were doing 20mph in neutral. Why neutral.

HI, Had the same problem at one time with mine. You can buy fusible links from the nissan dealer or the cheaper way to go is just get an auto electrician to make them for you. Also make sure the connectors are not corroded. Should cost less than $10 each. David.

Hi Bryan, The wheels were made by a company here in Australia called OZ Wheels and they are a copy of BBS wheels. 3x piece alloy 16x8 inch. He cast the centres for me to get the right offset for the guards and drilled to suit the original 4x stud pattern. Cost about $2,500 au but I like them. I didn't want to go for the 72 spoke Daytona like the original Ferrari. I wanted a Datsun but with the curves of the 1960's. Regards David
