I don't believe the 77z had wiring for low brake fluid. Just a wire to a switch to show an imbalance in brake pressure? That is what I originally thought my problem was. That is until one day driving with no passenger seat I tossed a tape mease onto the floor hitting said relay...the light went out immediately. :stupid:

I believe there is a relay under the passenger seat that causes this problem.

My first Z was a '75 same color as yours, same black abs airdam. 'Cept mine had gold wheels. Loads of fun in that car...till an 18 wheeler took it out.

Best way I have found to fish wires in interior walls is to drop about 12' of small link chain down the wall. Exterior walls with insulation require something rigid to push through the insulation.

I have the dealer installed Shelby wheels on the '71. I believe the bill of sale all up with bumper overrides, wheels and louvres the car came to $4500 new. Just incase I want to replace my caps where can I get these?

Naw this thing is Datsun and it stands a lot taller than a quarter inch high. Got to keep the 8 track for now....it has an FM 8 track cartidge adapter in it so I can hear the local FM stations. Waste gunner on a bomber...the original owner was a retired AF pilot in his 70's, you may be right. Maybe it is a kamikazi sight, who knew?

The 71 240z I have has a Datsun hood ornamate (wasn't my idea, PO). It will be gone no matter what cause it just looks...uh, light in the loafers. I'm just curious if this was an option or just the original owner's bad taste. I know he installed the Datsun indash AM-8track form a 1970 Datsun wagon. Just wondering about the "gunsight" on the hood, thanks.

big-phil over on the Hybrid site painted his with home Depot black rustoleum paint....think the paint cost him like $30. will be curious to see it cured and buffed out. He also posted a video on the web of the freshly painted Z.
