Z's on BAT and other places collection
A similar car came to an AutoX school. Accelerating out of a left hand turn his right hand door came unhinged and flew open damaging it. He did fix it and a friend said he put X bracing underneath, but he never returned.

Z's on BAT and other places collection
sorry, I messed up ..... on Zed Head post about the keys, on my 10/69 Fairlady Z-L keys, the lock key is the same, however both ignition keys are reversible and the key head is oval shaped. Could be the ignition was swapped?

- Rear wheel cylinders
Backed my 5/72 240Z out of the garage, left rear wheel cylinder leaking. I replaced both in 94, AutoXed till 2016. Need to replace both rear cylinders. Also have a 10/69 RHD Fairlady Z-L, may as well get those too. I've checked RockAuto, same part numbers for both cars. Amazon lists a pair for 240Z, don't know if these wheel cylinders would work for both year cars. Anyone use these from either Company.- Super Rare Super Limited Fairlady Z / S30Z / Z432 / 240ZG Nissan / Ornament / Emblem Pattern Apron / Unused.
Nice find, I have 10/69 Fairlady Z-L #00253- Let's show vintage racing pictures. I'll start.
Nissan GTP-Turbo at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course- float bowl overflow
Same thing happened on my Z years ago, had to remove the float, it had fuel in it. Replaced with another float, ran fine.- Autocross Chest Strap
Mine didn't slip, most of the runs were 45+ seconds, butt still moved with normal seat belts. One strip of duct tape on the seat back should hold it up if it does slip. There's a set for $22.88, google cheap racing seat belts. I installed mine in 94, still use it.- Autocross Chest Strap
Made a chest belt out of a 3'' canvas strap back in 91, burned the ends to keep the fabric from coming apart. Fastened Velcro strips on the ends, worked quite well until I installed a 5 point cam lock in 94 when Hp increased to 218. Didn't move a bit in stock seat.- '72 240Z on BaT Already at $45k with 6 More Days to Go!
Exceptionally nice, noticed the front bumper slightly higher on the left side from the previous picture from lonetreesteve.- MZR Roadsports UK Article
March/April of Road & Track has a nice article on the restoration shop in the UK. Also a BRE article of the 510- Found old Z pictures. I’ll start!
I was stationed at Lowry AFB 1968, studied weapons systems on F100, F105,, F111, and F4 c,d & e aircraft .- Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all of you.- Is this a new find?
Kats , just checked the seats on my 10/69 Fairlady Z-L & 72 240Z. No vertical stitching. on either car.- Vibration dampener thingy
Maybe it's to differentiate male Z's from female Z's, they found out that the female Z's tend to whine, lol- Let's show vintage racing pictures. I'll start.
Geoff Brabham drove the 83 car, Chip Robinson drove the 84 Electromotive GTP ZX-T- Datsun-240z Vs Fairlady-z432
Kats, Thanks for the photos, I like the color.- New from Vero Beach, Florida
Captain Obvious fortunately both Z's are with me in Ohio, I planned on retiring to a warmer climate.- New from Vero Beach, Florida
Ken, I have a 72 240Z that was restored in 2000 & a 10/69 rhd Fairlady Z-L 5 speed. Planned to be in Port Charlotte by 2010, things just didn't work out. Welcome to the group, a lot of knowledge and help from this group, and occasionally you'll get a good laugh.- New from Vero Beach, Florida
Yes, and one who wishes he were in Port Charlotte with his two Z's.- Imagine that!
It seems like all the tests were conducted on dry pavement, any of these tests on wet, snow covered or icy pavement?- '71 240Z, 1 Owner, Sunshine Yellow, AC & Rare Beltek FM/EQ/8 Track
Price probably would have been $17K, but missing 1 white striped tire.- I hate Chinese "Metal"
Thought I'd also chime in about Chinese "Metal". We got a flat on the left front late last year on our 09 Altima coupe. After removing the donut spare I had to raise the car a bit higher to install the fixed tire. As I was cranking the jack, my wife rolled the tire over. She helps out because I have a muscular disease, CMT. Anyhow, the car was high enough to almost get the tire on when the jack collapsed. The rotor banged down on the inside of the rim. I had to use my hydraulic jack to finish. On the side of the Nissan jack "made in China" was stamped, junk. The nut, where the threaded spindle goes into was stripped. I had only used the jack 3 or 4 times before. I did replace the front shocks before the cold weather, used the hydraulic jack, and jack stands.- Merry Christmas
To Everyone and their Families hope you have a Merry Christmas and a Happy safe New Year ! - Rear wheel cylinders
