What did your holidays bring your Z?
A little late but My 280 got a 3 in to 2 header, head light covers, a new rear wing from Paulo and a few parts from the local junk yard. a new Red top Optima. and then 3ft of snow to top it all off. I did cover her before the blizzard. And just this week got her out for a drive around the block only to get covered back up for the up coming snow storm....woohoo

Rear wing
I got this from Paulo on Hybridz, I have wanted a a rear wing and have looked at a BRE style but Paulo made this one. It's a little more laid back and bigger as you can see. I do have a front air dam but it's not something I'm going to keep and I have not seen one lke it anywhere yet so I don't have any info on it. I have looked at a Spook with ducts or a MSA Type 3. I made the one trip across town before I was snowed in I ran it up 80mph maybe a little more. And the car feels tight before on the same road the arse end would wonder just a little bit. When the weather gets better I'll get a better idea. Cethern

Rear wing
This year Santa brought me a new wing for my 280. I'm not sure if these pics will show up. So bare with me. Good deal.

reciver hitch
I have one for my 280 and it bolts to the tow mount and the bumper. I don't think it's all that heavy but then I have not put it on a scale. My use for it would be to pull a small trailer to Autocrosses with a set of tires and a few tools. This has been done for years with other Sports Cars. John Coffey used one on ROD during his early days. I would post a link but I can not remember if I read that here or Hybridz. Cethern

Moving on UP Literally
Colorado Springs has a lower cost of living. Now Denver is a different story not as bad has Cali. and hopefully it never will, but with all those darn Cali ppl moving here (just as bad as the darn Texans) things may change. My boss is getting a Custom home for 245,000 it is a tri level 2.5 car 3bd 2.5b from the pics and options it is really nice. built in 1990.

Moving on UP Literally
I talked with my buddy in the Springs and a close friend of ours just bought a home down the street from him, A Ranch style 3bd 2b 1 car for 143.000 I have not seen it but that seems a little high for the area. As for Z cars their out here and with you being a welder you should have no problem fixing the rust... and mine

Mr.Woofs I live off I-25 and 84th. Z ppl are from what I have seen a great bunch of ppl I'm new to Z cars as well I bought my 75 this year. And as you'll see there is a lot of info on the web. http://www.geocities.com/row4navy/ http://www.geocities.com/zgarage2001/z.html http://www.atlanticz.ca/component/option,com_wrapper/Itemid,69/ Try these links the last one has a lot of tech tips but are geared to a later Z with Fuel injection. There is a shop in Denver called Rallye/Sport 303-427-0510 Talk with Jeff he knows his Z's And if you have the OEM Steering wheel I have a use for the horn guts... Eric

'72 240Z quit...
First welcome to the site. My first thought would to lean it out with some new jets. Was the car always in Steamboat? Look for vacume leaks, was the car sitting for awhile? Could be some bad gas... Do a search for Webber carbs see what turns up, I have not messed with them so I'm not much help. But the car could be ready for a good tune up. If you get around Denver there are a few members along the front range I like the rest enjoy meeting other Z owners. Eric

Camping out in your Z
That camper is cool! It maybe to heavy for a Z to pull though. But my K5 would enjoy it.

For my 280 I use Amsoil for both the filter and oil. Oh and for gas I like 93oct. but I will use 85/87 with no problems.

Which new battery most resembles original?
I went looking for a battery for my 280 and it seems that around here all you can find at Checker,Autozone, Advance Auto and Car Quest is something with their name on it and to me they look cheep. Yes some have a Exide that looks like a Optima but costs 159.00 and some did have a Red top Optima at the same price which has gone up since the last time I bought one. I did not see a Interstate anywhere. I stopped at Four Wheel Parts and bought a Red Top Optima for 109.00 they are on sale this is not the big one but this has 700CCA Just about right for a Z car. I'll see how the mount fits tomarrow. For a Battery that looks like OEM of the time look in Hemmings Motor news I know there are companys that make covers that look like OEM stuff.
