Looking at my 260z reverse switch wires, they run from the switch, up the passenger side of the firewall, to underneath the battery. That looks to be what your wires are. There is a little switch sticking out of the side of your transmission with 2 male connectors, just plug them back in to your other wires. You may have to jack the car up to make it easier to reach. I wouldnt use a heat gun on the plastic headlight covers. My headlight covers were off a little bit, and I just snuged them up with the bolts.
