I'll probably get either those spring loaded foam thingys, or a pair of K&N's. That would be awesome if you could get those pictures, Bruce.

I converted my 260z to a 4 barrel, and now I want to convert it to the older round tops. The problem is I dont have the linkage connecting them together, AND I dont know what all the stuff on the carbs go to IE vacuum lines. Please help I dont even know where the fuel lines go.... Im in over my head with this one.
  6. Hey, those are the same 2 wheels I am looking to buy. I have a question though, I want the 16X8, with a +0 offset in the sportmax 002. Will these fit on a 260z without modifications?

I guess your application would require more than sheet metal like mine... I only had quarter sized holes.
  8. So, just replace the entire unit with a new one? I forgot to mention that whenever I hit a bump just right, it clunks too, but that could just be bad bushings.
  9. So what does it mean if the diff howls??? Thans what mine does.... and it clunks really bad. For instance when I am driving normal, than I let off the gas, then tap it repeatedly.... it clunks with each tap of the gas. The bushings are nice and tight. Any solution??? The clunk is really bothering me, and my radio isnt loud enough to cover this noise up.

What I did on mine was cut out the floor just like you did, and then I cut out sheet metal pieces just bigger than the holes in the floor. Then I put a bead of window sealer caulk around the hole in the floor, set the metal on top, and screwed it in place. Then I fiberglassed around the edges, and grinded the screws tips off of the bottom of the car.

  14. Dreco, May I have your permission to use a picture of your car to make a banner for this site?
  15. Anyone?
  16. I believe 9.5 is the width of the wheel. The J I think just states that it is a Japanese manufactured wheel.

Corollas are a trap. They are GM, that should say enough. My mom has a 1995 Corolla DX automatic, and she is always complaining about the vibrations, shifting, fuel mileage and other stuff. My dad and I did a DEEP tune up on it including an entirely new fuel system, and distributor.... and it still runs poorly. The sad part is... it only has 125,000 miles. IMO I would not support either vehicle... I would find a really old Honda. I had a 1981 Accord and it got 50mpg, and I had absolutely NO problems with that car for an entire 2 YEARS. That was the most reliable car I have ever had. Just fwiw, I bought the Accord for $55, and all I EVER did to that car was put in a new battery, Wal-Mart tires, and change the oil every 3500 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic.
  24. That is the Japanese measurement.. 114.3mm. The sae (US) measuremet is 4 1/2".
  25. I have 2.6L bottom end complete with : block connecting rods flat top pistons (one has a little chunk out of the top) crank I was wondering how much this all together is worth. They are all good parts, except one piston which has a pencil eraser sized chunk out of the top.
