  1. I have used Valvoline 20/50 racing oil/VR1 in my 5/71 240Z since 1972. All temp ranges (Eastern Wa, Montana, Florida, and New Mexico) with no issues. Of course no winter time driving. Amsoil has Z-Rod which is high-zinc formula.
  2. I use a Fender Cover I got from Johnny Hays
  3. I am running a 3.90 R200 with the wide ratio and I like it. Tire size is 215/60x14. Can't quote highway rpm's but it certainly isn't excessive.
  4. My 5/71, HLS30-30855, has the E31 head, as well as my 2/71, HLS30-23305.

  6. Great looking Z. Good decision to keep it stock. If you decide to replace your dash check this out: https://www.instagram.com/vintagedashes/ I have one for each of my 2 Z's, just haven't gotten to install them yet. I Have been to Jeff's shop, Rallye Sport, and can vouch for him too. He worked on my R190 differential (4.44 from Datsun Competition in 1971) and did the final tune on the mikuni setup on one of my Z's. Very knowledgeable on Datsuns and has raced the Z's and 510's. Good luck on your transmission rebuild and the other work you have planned. -Bill-

  9. I don't think you'll regret that decision. I have Vogtlands on one of my 240's. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Classic Zcar Club mobile

Do you also have the dashes for the early Z's, the one without the "cross" indent for the flasher switch? I ordered two of the early ones, but haven't heard anything about them.
  12. I'll do that. Thanks! Sent from my [device_name] using http://Classic Zcar Club mobile
  13. That's about how mine looks after a highway drive on my Z with Mikuni's. On my Z with SU's, I can't get that color on the exhaust.
  14. Have you found springs or coil overs yet? I've got a set of Eibach Progressive springs that I bought from MSA. Used about a year. Decided to go a different route with the springs. -Bill-

From what I saw on Facebook the first deliveries are shipped out. I too am waiting to hear about how they look and fit as I have two ordered for the early 240Z (without the indent for the flasher decal)/
