Parts for Sale: L24 Engine & Transmission - For sale
View Advert L24 Engine & Transmission - For sale I have a spare L24 engine & transmission that I would like to sell. My restro. https://www.classiczcars.com/profile/10812-crshowers/ is complete and spare parts no longer needed. What is missing? Just the thermostat inlet housing & the starter, alternator. All other parts are intact. This has flat top carbs that you most likely want to replace. The engine has not been run in the past 10 years. It has a performance cam installed. I do not have any details, as the prior owner has passed away. I would like to see someone is the Northeast be the new owner to minimize delivery costs. I dropped the price to $750 I think that is a fair price for both. Someone got to have a good home for this. Advertiser crshowers Date 08/10/2020 Price $750.00 Category Parts for Sale

Altitude & Vapor Lock
Just thought I would ask if any members have resolved their vapor lock problem by using the 33054 filter?

This is the Dupli-color paint. I felt it was way to gray. So I ordered the California Datsun Grill / Tail Light Panel Spray Paint. My opinion not much different. -
Heater Fan has power/not working while in car
Thanks for getting back. My dash lights was not a problem. It was the DA who could not see that the lights were on. With bright shop lights and not starting the Z, I was not able see that they were on. I just added a fuse and eliminated the relay for the blower motor and all electrical systems are now a go. Windshield gets installed tomorrow.

Heater Fan has power/not working while in car
Jeff, or others willing to help a lost sole. Just wondering was it the fuse blow that caused your dash lights to go out? After your replaced the relay and the fuse did your dash lights then work? I have a 73 240 and my accessory relay sometimes does not work, and I have not been able to get my dash lights to work at all. I am doing a complete restoration and all other lights, controls are working. I measure 11.7 volts at the rheostat. Should I just go ahead and replace the relay? What info. did the parts store need to find a replacement? Thanks Craig

Heater Blower Motor Relay 72 240Z
Jaymanbikes thanks so much for posting this wire harbness. I have a 73 that I am trying to put back together after a 3 year rebuild. I have the same harness as above and have not been able to get the blower to work. I know the blower motor worked on the bench before re-install. 3 things I hope you might help me with. 1. The red wire above gets pluged into what other wire to get power? 2. Is the taped blue wire used? 3. Does the 73 use the accessory relay as the power source? This download shows the blower diagram but not the source of power. https://www.classiczcars.com/files/file/59-s30-heater-service-manual-dated-2-73/?do=download&confirm=1&csrfKey=1a95bf43be86f186b3055078edc998ea

Ceramic coated vs straight stainless for header and exhaust system
I am in the market for ceramic coating headers for my 73Z. I have the Ztherapy SU's with no internal engine performance changes. I have been looking for a 2.25 inch exhaust because I think the 2.5 inch is overkill. I am not finding any ceramic coated headers w/2.25 inch outlet. Like to hear from jtay or others who have the MSA 6to1 header. How is the noise level and did you install a resonator & what muffler do you have. Below is some research on different header sources & options. Topend https://www.ebay.com/itm/Datsun-Z-Header-6cyl-L24-L26-L28-L-series-6-Cylinder-1-5-Primary-1-2-Flange-/312428478366?vxp=mtr&hash=item48be303f9e $289 - Ceramic coat + $250 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Pacesetter ZCar Depot Pacesetter exhaust header with ceramic coating (silver) for Datsun 240Z 260Z 280Z 1970-76 square port. 3/8" steel flange with 1 5/8" steel tubing. Comes with a 2" slip fit connector & gaskets. Bright silver ceramic coating. *This header has an oxygen sensor provision in one of the pipes. If you are not using an O2 sensor then you might need the plug PT# 800-863. https://zcardepot.com/collections/exhaust/products/header-exhaust-ceramic-coated-240z-260z-280z-70-76 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- MSA https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic19d/15-6001CH $320 coated ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- WorldWide performance - ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Exhaust-Header-Manifold-System-Kit-For-70-76-Nissan-240Z-260Z-280Z-L24-L26-L28E/182809123333?fits=Model%3A240Z&hash=item2a9045da05:g:Y~EAAOSw4P1Z1nAf:sc:FedExHomeDelivery!03226!US!-1 $220 Black coated? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CARiD https://www.carid.com/1973-nissan-240z-exhaust-systems/pacesetter-exhaust-header-136722738.html $375 coated 2" outlet ---------------------------------------------------------------- Pace Setter Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Setter-70-1037-Black-Exhaust-Header/dp/B00133NZ46/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&qid=1587254531&s=automotive&sr=1-1&vehicle=1973-67-2284-20-----14492----1871--1&vehicleName=1973+Nissan+240Z $223 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- California Datsun https://www.californiadatsun.com/exhaust-system/headers/ Multiple choices ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Datsun garage https://www.datsun-garage.com/pages/search-results-page?q=exhaust+header+240z Multiple choices ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 240 exhaust guide https://zcarguide.com/datsun-240z-exhaust-guide-best-exaust-systems-sound/
