Well it is working, pumping fuel runs very well, the car. I believe it is a after market pump.I didnt install. I think due to the LOUD SQUALLING it is making and no dampner i will replace the pump and install dampner. BTW, Your picture of your 73 240, I have the same type slotted mag wheels,(30 yrs. old) Where can someone get a new shinny center cap. I have bought both sizes from motorsports (2&3/4 and 3&3/16th but no fit. Thanks for your help B2

Hello,i just signed up yesterday. In the past i have found some good, information at this site,so i decided to join in. I have owned a 75 280Z, for 31 years original owner. I try to do most all maintence and service myself now.In the past i paid a mechanic to do all service, restoration etc. If anyone has any ideas of why a newly replaced,(rebuilt) fuel pump is squalling like a banshee. The sound inside is unbearable! Let me know your ideas. People at Courtsey Nissan,TX. said check (Dampner) Guess what its NOT there, I have no dampner! Anyway any thoughts or *fixes* will be appreciated.
