'72 240Z stereo wiring, please help!
From my experience putting in a complete stereo and subs in my 280, blue is the antenna, red is for accessory power (powers up the stereo when the ignition is turned on) and yellow is for the battery line for a constant voltage to keep the clock and presets on.

rebuild myself or find someone in houston
Go for it yourself man! I just did a complete rebuild and it was a lot of fun and very educational! I would highly suggest doing the rebuild yourself, you will learn so much about the car you drive.

The sound of mufflers? --Dynomax
I have the dynomax super turbo muffler on my 280 with straight 2.5" pipe back from the headers and it is plenty loud. Probably a bit too loud, but it sounds really good. Good low pitch at idle.

Transmission popping out of gear...
I've just recently done an engine rebuild on my 280z and put in a lower milage 5 speed instead of the one i pulled during the rebuild. Once i started driving around, the tranny started popping out of 2nd gear-but only when i let off the gas while in 2nd or downshift to 2nd gear. I am using Redline MT-90 transmission fluid, but i'm not sure if that has anything to do with the problem. Help please!!!

hey hey
Yeah its my first Z, I've had it about a year but have just started having the time/$ to allow myself to work out some kinks and maybe add some performance. I ended up just unscrewing the pipe out of the EGR and plugging it with a bolt. Hope that doesn't screw up the vac system too badly! I guess i'll keep the old hose, just in case.

hey hey
Hey guys, I'm new to the club and am a 20yr old college student working on rebuilding my engine during this summer. I have a 78 280z 2+2 that needs some body work and paint but after all the mods and the rebuild is complete it should be mechanically strong. I purchased headers that don't have any smog attachments so i need to do something to modify my EGR valve. Should i just plug up the end that inserts into the old exhaust manifold, or should i remove everything?
