It seems that 2nd hand SSR rims are always very cheap over here in NZ as people don't know what they are. I scored my 3pc Formula Mesh 15x7 WITH 4 new 195/50 directional tires for $900 NZD a few months back. Then I saw they for sale with out tires for around $2800 NZD new! Crazy I tell you!

Have a look at this shoddy diagram I made up, The rims bolt together with bolts through the edges of the center face. I hope it makes sence, its hard to explain.

Righto! I was sure my SSRs were 3pc tho. The rim splits in two, and then there is the centre face. Oh well.. Good luck selling these, they'll look great on a Z.

They look to me like they could be SSR rims, and if so, don't have centre caps. I have a set of these on my car (not a Z, but still old )

Argh! If I had the money, I'd buy it. You can't find a Z in any condition for under $5000US over here.

might have already been noted a few pages back, but in Jackie Chan's Rumble in the Bronx, in the motorbike race scene in the night where 2 people race bikes over a row of cars, the first car which the right hand rider uses to get up on is a green 240 or 260. She rides right up the bonnet and over the windscreen

I could prolly afford this guys other Z for the same price as importing, its not cheep. Sorry didnt notice any numbers on the car, didn't relly think to. Ah well, back to dreamin'

Hell yes!! I'd love to build one up, and owning one has been my dream since I started to like cars at about 12. It gets sooo frustrating tho, It's hard for an 18 year old student to afford a desent 240 over here, soo annoying

(09)4805093 Last I heard, he had a complete 240z (looks nice but on closer inspection, quite some surface rust, no wof, reg on hold), $9000 NZD, and the one in parts, $4000 NZD. Oldschool is, well I dunno what it's going to turn into. Hopefully a community of people with older cars interested in helping each other, cruises and other events and things like that. Any suggestions welcome.

Yea, will do. I don't have the details with me right now, but I'll post them when I do.

his son took it apart and labeled all the bits. but anywhoo, ive decided that I can't do this. Main reason being is that I have no where to put the darn thing... ah well, maybe when i'm a bit older..

Alfadog: I meant that the windows and doors were not attached to the chassis, they are there. The the guy has everything for the car, the only part missing that he knew about was the clutch pedal as his son used it in turning his 240z race car from auto to manual. Is a Z a hard car to wire up?

I have the chance to buy a 240z here in New Zealand which is finally within my budget. Yay! The thing is, the man who has it now, compleatly dismanteled the entire car to a state in which it is a chassis sitting on the ground of his garage with no glass, doors bonnet on it at all. He has every bit for it, and all the bolts and stuff and in numbered bags with the number assignment typed up on the computer. What I need to know, is how hard would it be to put this car back together, its in pretty good nick, and so if it's not too hard, i'd like to give it a go. Needs new shocks and brake bits, but apart from that, it's all good. I am no a mechanic nor do I have all that much mechanical experience apart from panels and stuff. I know that I'd need someone to wire everything back up and get the brake lines and stuff going, but apart from that, what do you guys think, worth the effort? thanks heaps zep

How much is the guy asking for it? If you don't buy it, tell me where it is!!!
  15. 1. 240z - stock standard and restored. 2. 260z (don't wanna ruin a good 240) - RB26DETT but with one massive turbo, flared arches, polished 5 spoke deepdish 16"s, lowered, nice spolier kit. What a sleeper 3. 260z (again) - 13b bridgeport (from s6 rx7), mostly as above.
