  1. Looks can be deceiving. I have abut a 14' ceiling in my garage although you wouldnt need that much room. The lift is a bendpak HD-9STX http://www.bendpak.com/products/automotive-lifts/four-post-lifts/hd-9stx.php I have had no problems with it what so ever. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a home shop lift. If you have any specific questions I would be glad to answer them.
  2. Pretty simple really..... MSA Premium Exhaust System, 70-72, 74 Z (For Stock Manifold) Code:15-6302 Price: $289.95
  3. Yep, that was a gift to myself, I love it. They are fairly reasonably priced as well.
  4. I ended up cutting 1.75 coils off the rear and 2 off the front. We have driven it a little and it may settle more but I think more will have to come off the front coils. We finished the final assembly and Toni buffed it out for the Portland roadster show next week.
  5. When you note that it will not rev past 4k, is that in neutral with no load, or driving in gear? Is the iginition system completely stock? including tachometer? how about your throttle linkage? Do the carbs open completely with the throttle pedal?
  6. I like that fact too, combined with Washingtons no income tax I have the best of both worlds. Earn in Washington, Spend in Oregon....................................................................................................................................................................................................................just kidding.
  7. evidently its not illegal yet but I wouldn't be surprised to see this pop up soon. http://www.ecy.wa.gov/news/2008news/2008-259.html
  8. I heard today that it may soon be illegal to wash your car in your driveway here in Vancouver Washington. Might hurt the fishes.......... facist enviro nazis :stupid:
  9. Yeah, the governor definitely qaulifies as one of those pricks.
  10. So they simply want to set standards for aftermarket parts not ban them. B.S...... I assume if a part does not meet their standards it will be banned. Who voted for these pricks?
  11. Ah yeah, I know what OEM stands for. I have worked in the automotive industry for 23 years. I am pretty familiar with the term. However,I know for a fact that many vehicles sold by the OEM, Ford in my case, could be fitted with tires manufactured by many different manufactures. Such as Goodyear, Firestone,Bridgestone, BFGoodrich, and in many cases if you wanted to buy one of those specific tires for your car you were out of luck because it would no longer be produced and would have been replaced by a differnet model tire. I suppose its "correct" but it is rather odd to hear the term "OEM" applied to tires. Reguardless, a rule like this coming from these mental midgets is obsurd. What is more obsurd is that they hold the power to inflict such legislation upon us.
  12. what the hell are OEM tires anyway? I have sold parts at a dealership for years. We never sold "OEM" tires.
  13. Actually the no self serve rule was instituted to save jobs. If it weren't for that law imagine how many petroleum transfer specialists would be out of work?

  15. I may be wrong but I believe it was a reference to the police that might have called out on you for your reckless behavior......
  16. LMAO....... "must be one of dem new japanese sports cars"........
  17. Im out of town til next week but the next time you come through, your on. Have a great time Dave!
  18. Ironically the "puddle" or water box is there to conserve your tires while warming the rubber. Not so that you can get the tires spinning for a smokeshow. However, if you are traveling through the portland area I would be happy to oblige you to a rubber laying contest, say from a 30mph rolling start? Plus Id like to see your car.
  19. like this? The Z is fun but if you really need to burn rubber, theres no replacement for displacement.

I hadnt thought of that.............. I started to get excited when using the part number search function on Courtesys website, so many parts I heard were not available were suddenly 3-4 days away.:stupid:
  21. whamo replied to Diseazd's post in a topic in Body & Paint
Dont know for certain, I assumed that the 3-4 day availibilty was valid, it probably isnt. I performed a dealer parts inventory search and there were no hits on that part number. That doesnt nessesarily indicate that it isnt on some dealers shelf somewhere or that it cant be sourced from nissan but it isnt in a dealer inventory that subcribes to the listing service.

I bought mine from the dealer a year ago. Courtesy Nissan online shows the USA version 62650-n3300 available but not the canadian 62650-n3301. btw the replacement we bought had no holes for a pad. http://www.courtesyparts.com/bumper-fro-p-384933.html?cPath=shoppingcart Whats the difference?

Nice looking car. As far as the leak goes,I would start looking for a rebuildable shortblock. An engine replacement is a snap in these cars.
  24. Actually that car parks in the garage. Thanks for pointing that out though. I hope the authorities aren't reading this forum. or surfing youtube.
  25. Hey Arne, I cut 1-1/2 coils out of the front springs. I think I may have been safe cutting 2 full coils out but I think it looks pretty good. We just need to do the rears now.
