I just muted the volume and looked at the cars. Some of them were very funny; others very sad...and wrong.

I imagine we would all love to see the before, during and after pics! Don't be shy, and good, no, great luck on this project!

After the car has sputtered and died, pull off the vacuum hose from the fuel pressure regulator. It should be dry, but if the FPR has developed a leak, it most likely will have gas in it. Another possibility is that your fuel pickup screen is getting clogged up. That would make sense considering it takes about 20 minutes to do this, whereas a bad FPR would be a non stop sort of thing (lack of power, fuel in oil). FWIW

I believe it is going to be an R200, but you might have to contend with a different spline count. Not sure.
  5. Well, here are some photos (yes, I still need to get a scanner) of my '79 FSM. Perhaps it will be of some use to you.

Au contraire, Hopefully the other driver has insurance (and enough to cover everything)!

Three things, Darbji: 1. Thankfully you are only hurt, not dead! 2. At least you weren't in the Z! 3. Call your lawyer if you haven't done so already! Again, the most important thing is that you are alive, albeit in pain. Pain goes away, being dead doesn't (unless you are a vampire or zombie-pretty sure you aren't either of those).
  8. The collection keeps growing... Now if only I was able to collect the full size versions.
  9. I know you can get LHD speedo cables from your local auto parts stores, blackdragonauto, probably Courtesy Nissan, nissanparts.cc,... I would suggest removing your lower cable, measure the length, and find a cable of similar length. The cable I ordered some time ago was too long, so I ended up coiling up the excess amount. Your upper cable shouldn't be a different length from the LHD model. Why do you need new cables? Is your speedo not functioning due to one of the cables being broken, or are you just missing them?

  11. Anything can be done with enough money... You will find that the folks over at the other site ( www.hybridz.org ) will be of more service in your quest to stomp the ol' vg. While there are many people on this site that have done upgrades (from mild to wild), the aforementioned site will have answers to most any question you've got.
  12. Well, that's just nice. Not only can you remove your cowls, you've got better window sealing? I thought they were different from the photos I've seen, but wasn't sure.
  13. I've been trying to upload more photos, but am receiving a "database error" message. Photobucket links seem to be working however...
  14. With the weather being so not-wintry, I have continued my quest to stop the leaks that plague me on a very inconsistent basis. With the rear hatch doing well, I figured I would go after the front windscreen. I have had several small rust bubbles form where the cowl meets the trim and wanted to find out how bad it was. Do recall that the cowl on an s130 is not removable (for whatever reason). When I would wash the car, or the rain would fall heavily, water would accumulate in the driver footwell and was entering from points unknown behind the tarmat. Additionally (and this is new) when it rains, water would drip down from the inside upper corner of the driver side. Annoying. Anyway, the weather was quite nice today and I decided to pull off the upper and lower SS trim. Here is what I found. The rubber seal on the lower piece was not installed correctly and allowed pockets of pine needles and crud to accumulate. I think that this accelerated the rust issue (which isn't too bad now that I can really see it). Also, with the rubber trim not extending from edge to edge, water was allowed to enter at the corners, then was able to penetrate the not so uniform window sealant. Same held true for the top edge. Next I need to really get in the pillar trim (can't remove it without removing the door weatherstrip) and clean out the stuff that's stuck in there. Then it's just a matter of sealing and re-attaching. All of this just got me thinking: When was the last time you checked yours, and what might you find when you look?

Well, my FSM was of little help here. It just refers to it as a "plate" in the Propeller Shaft & Differential Carrier section.
