Installing an Electric Fan...
I don't have my FSM with me, so I don't know the dimensions of the radiator, but I would expect there to be a comparable unit like this for the Z... http://www.flex-a-lite.com/auto/html/27inch-electric.html

Installing an Electric Fan...
Darbji, the only suggestion I would have would be to remove the radiator before you deal with the fan and fan clutch. It will give you so much more space. Also, hit all the bolts with PB Blaster a couple days before (especially the Alternator mounts) to ease the whole process. Obviously, it would make sense to mount the electric fan onto the Rad. before you reinstall it, but since I have not done this, I may be wrong.

"This is not what I meant when I said to 'stay on top of your schooling'!" Never be late for the bus again. That must have been one heck of a back to school sale.

240Z in movies
Alpha Dog, during the street fair (?), around the time when they go into the store for drinks... The screen goes so quickly, I couldn't see what model, but it is an S30, not an S130.

...and they seem a little intoxicated. I sure hope they don't go driving around! (a little odd for an insurance company ad, no?)

Luck at the junk yard!!!
At least you all seem to have access to Pick and Pull yards. Those that I have found around me will not let you on the lot (insurance reasons, they say).

Never loan a guy a starter.......
No, interventions are for people with dangerous addictions. There is nothing wrong with the addiction we all share to the Z car. Would you please post some more photos-I am curious about the rear louvre. Thanks, and Congratulations on the newest member of the family!

Gas Tank
John, not being a smart a$$, but I think you mean that the fuel sending unit is accessed from above, inside the hatch area (at least on the ZX series) and that the fuel pump is located under the car near(ish) the right hand drive wheel. If you are thinking of getting a ZX tank for your 240, it will not work-your spare tire sits above the tank, giving need for a different shaped tank than I've got in the ZX since my spare is located in the right rear corner-vertically aligned.

loose ass end out of acceleration and back in
One of the first things I did when I got my 79 was to replace the stock shocks/struts whatever. The reason I did this was because the car would squat on its butt when I applied the gas, and it was not very pleasant on the twisties. I really don't know if this is what you would consider "fishy" and "loose," but it's all I've got for ya. Are there any new or different noises accompanying the odd driving behavior?

I need a picture of your intake
Stephen, you are too much! I just search and guess and read my FSM (and guess some more). Right now I can't help with the FSM portion of the question (not sure if my 79 edition would have the answers, anyway) so I think that deferring that portion to Will (who is a ZX genius) would be best. However, I can provide photos of a mostly not messed with 3ngine bay, so here are some photos of my engine bay (taken real quick 'cause I'm at work).

Flooding badly
I agree with Stephen. Check the items that are made to wear out and be replaced and replace them. Odds are that if they are not the originals, they are old replacements and would be due for a freshening. Additionally, check all of your connectors, both electrical and fuel related.

best spark plugs?
I used to swear by Bosch Platinums-they did wonderful things for my ol' Accord and Jeep Cherokee. So, I figured they would be great in the Datto. Not so. They were ok, but I noticed a great change once I put in the NGK plugs.

not trying to be a smart a$$, but have you fiddled with the switch? If so, you will want to hunt down the fuse, and pull it for the time being.
