  1. I just read about this site on a different post, throw it in your favorite list, I did. Selection and price, not to mention kudos from other members. http://www.datsunzparts.com/

I need to replace my support rails, at first I was going to find someone to weld up some supports but couldn't find anyone willing to touch frame work. Maybe with actual replacement parts...and for that price, my goodness, life is good... Check out my offroad z photos to see what I mean:cry: bad PO:finger:

legs wouldn't reach the pedals.. I am surprised that Vaughn would want to play his older brother. Sure, Racer X was always in disguise, but I think it would be better to have someone else play X. As to Vaughn being in his 30's, I think it would work. Keep in mind that characters in Anime always gravitate towards to age groups-the aged master/mind or the young hero/heroine (who always appear 14-16). Check outh the film Akira for the perfect example of this (or watch Speed Racer when you can). Just as long as they don't cast Lindsey Lohan as Trixie, I don't much care who they cast.
  4. I have heard both sides of this discussion. The one that got my attention the most was this-If the deer whistles do indeed work in sonically disturbing the deer into moving, isn't it just as likely that the sound will make sedentary, grazing by the side of the road, minding their own business deer more likely to RUN INTO the road in an illgained effort to get away from the noise? I've never personally used one, so I can't say if they work or not. I have, however, been passenger in an equipped car and hit a deer with it.
  5. But, the reason that the British are refered to as "Limey" is due to the fact that it was the British who found that citrus fruit was the cure for scurvy, the disease had been ravaging British sailors for some time. The term originated from the limes that sailors carried and consumed after the discovery of Vitamin C.
  6. Fuel rail, perhaps? Connected to the injectors after all.

just don't try 13 hours with screaming AC and oil pump idler pulleys, no speedometer or cruise and 90+ heat. At least the drive back was better once those pulleys were fixed. By the way, if you are ever in Delray Beach Florida, avoid Maroone Nissan at ALL COSTS. Now it's sixty miles of mountainside curvies every day...
  8. Automatics are fine for certain purposes. I agree with those posters before me that point out the benefits of saving your clutch in city driving. Try driving a clutch in San Francisco with some jackas s tailgating you on some of those uphill starts...but then again, in mountain/curvy driving situations, the stick is preffered. As to the auto-stick slushbox shift by wire business-I have a Mitsubishi Montero LTD with the "Sporttronic" manumatic. There are only two situations where I actually use the "stick" mode-long hill descents (to save the brakes) and to slow down without engaging my taillights (lest the cop notice). Other than these two times, the stick mode is just not engaging. A true stick (be it 3, 4, 5 or 6 speed) allows its user so much more control. It has also been my observation, after driving across both this country and Mexico in both a standard and auto, that one stays more focused on driving when the stick needs tending. Don't get me wrong though. Just like Cruise control, I think automatics are great, just not all the time.
  9. I think there might be a demand for your RHD Fairlady here in North America, what with being an oddity in the land of LHD vehicles. Personally, I know I would like to have it, were there extra money for another car.

Congrats on getting the Z and welcome to the club! Everyone here seems to be really nice and knowledgable, all willing to help. You should be able to get all the help you could need, and more. zbane

  12. If these caps are relatively cheap in NZ & Australia, how about starting a little import/auction deal? Depending on availability and shipping charges, a tidy profit could be made.

Either start one, or check out the SCCA. they might have info on the whereabouts of a semi-organized, semi-local club.

Hit the mute button and find something else to do while the "teams" argue. I've actually watched the show twice, observed it a couple other times and now I don't even bother with it. I agree entirely w/ TomoHawk...be prepared or be gone, none of this whining bull. It is a completely worthless show.

I never knew they were even thinking about making one. If they did, would they stay true to the 'toon and have the vocal track out of sync with the visuals? That would be so cool. by the way, if you were to make your own Mach 5, what would you use as the base vehicle? Before I gave away my Fiat, I envisioned turning it into that famed car. Then the realization sank in that I know nothing about bodywork (fiberglass, bondo, welding...), but it would be so nice to have a mach 5 (complete with built in stilts and extendable saw blades) in the drive.

Kelly Chargers seem to be good all around tires, not too expensive either. I have twisties all around, haven't wrecked yet. I forget the speed rating, but I think they are "H."
