Maybe the 260Z mirror is different.

It's a shame, we could have compared our paint jobs. But I understand what a long trip that is. I think it's about 10 hours for me.

The worst part of the rear-view mirror is the stupid shaking from vibration going through the car. Even tight, it's still a tiny bit loose in the mount. I think the whole design sucks.

Fix that rust immediately, or at least treat it and keep car out of weather.

I had new webbing put into my original seat belts. I have one of those seat belt dohickeys on back order.

Frankly I think the whole design for this seal and the one at the top (that you can't get anywhere), is pretty lame. They should have covered the entire front edge with a seal from the start, like they did later.

Remember you're not going to treat your Z like the original owner did (carefree), so prepping your car like you will, may be overkill. Powder coating everything like it's got to survive a sandstorm is probably overkill. If it's just to look pretty that's another thing, but is it really necessary? That's something you have to answer in your own mind.
