Repair to 11/75-76 280z Right Side Seat Mechanism Cover
To repair cracked plastic, I found that a hot glue gun and pieces of similar plastic can be attached as doublers behind the black plastic part. I did this on my interior panels, it worked well.

Hot shifter, hot console = torn shifter boot
You might have a fire going in the transmission tunnel, better look. The shift lever will get hot anyway if it's that hot because it's a metal heatsink. The boot only keeps out toxic gas and hot air. I've never had a shift lever too hot to touch even with a torn boot.

Professional paint in a can
66 Auto Color Just wanted to share the good luck I had with the single stage paint product I purchase from this company. I used the Max 2K with PPG 23576 Butterscotch. I was reasonably close to my exterior, and plenty suitable for the interior that will be covered with carpet. I used white Rust-oleum primer first.

I was think that the fuzzy seal could be removed without removing the frame, when it ends on both side almost at the window line.

Rear driver's side plastic rear trim panel instll
Thanks guys, I'm trying to install the panel, not remove it. It appears to me the hatch support strut bracket is welded to the car, and therefore cannot be removed. This would seem illogical. Why would Nissan design this is such a way that the strut and support bracket need to be removed in order to remove or install a simple panel? I appreciate the input though. Hopefully some more ideas will emerge.

Rear driver's side plastic rear trim panel instll
This panel has a strange shape and doesn't seem to fit over the strut tower and under the hatch support bracket at the same time. Anyone know how to get this thing in?

Parcel band
Thanks for all the input. I even thought of having the metal components bead-blasted and powder coated. Put new nylon on, cause the old stuff is 40+ years old. I know it's probably still got lots of strength left, and hardly ever used. I'll mull over all the ideas, thanks.

Original color for "hybrid"?
Original colors are cool, especially considering the retro American cars coming out now with old school colors (e.g., Dodge).

Sound deadening and heat shielding materials
Well, I started spraying in the Lizardskin this past Saturday. It goes on pretty well. I had treated rust with converter and rust-inhibiting primer before putting in the Lizardskin. I've used up a gallon of the sound control so far with about 75% complete. I have the door interiors left, and some touchup in areas where I think it needs to be a bit thicker. I've been taking photos, will post some time. I need to order more, and the ceramic insulation. The optional sprayer works well, and is well made. You have to take the time to clean it well though. The cup that came with my sprayer has a tiny crack in it, so I've requested a replacement. Not sure how it got there but I think during its manufacture, because it was there when I pulled it from the box.

Sound deadening and heat shielding materials
I decided to go with the Lizardskin. I spent last weekend taping the inside off.

Optional way to install Sound Deading material?
Use the spray on stuff like Lizardskin, you can probably bead blast it off later.
