  1. Sorry Carl. Guys you need to read the title of the thread a bit closer. :stupid:
  2. I suppose everyone has gotten the news from Carl by now. It's a bummer, if you've been on the list for a long time. I'm sure it'll be a big relief for Carl, et al who have been managing this server for all these years. This very site grew out of the list to specialize in the early Zs. So remember the roots of this and other websites that formed many years ago. If it weren't for the IZCC many of us wouldn't have gotten to know each other as early as we did. :classic: IZCC History

    1st gen seats

What plastic seat cushion guards, you mean the clear ones between vinyl and hardware? I have those on my seats.
  5. Get a Paypal account for crying out loud!!! :knockedou
  6. I just need to find a body guy who'll do the work for a reasonable price. It really needs expert attention.
  7. Dizeasd, I hate you, you know that don't you? So awesome.
  8. Hell you know, it's those cheap Datsun engines. They just can't take it. :stupid:
  9. Hey Dave, my harnesses are still working great! Got any other projects in mind....maybe a stereo harness upgrade?
  10. Madkaw, I don't know if you've already moved on with this job, but you should know that not only are the front and rear springs different, but the left front and right front springs are different. I don't know if they still have any, but if you want to remain stock Courtesy Nissan had sets of Original Spec springs that we had made by a spring company. They also produced some Euro Spec I springs for Courtesy to sell. I have the Original Specs with KYB GR-2 struts and it is plenty firm for me as a street car. It takes quite a bit of effort to even push a corner of the car down.
  11. I've heard that you don't want to change that bushing unless you are racing on a track.
  12. Hey, has anyone made or used one of those substitutes for the arrestor strap? The one that someone put out a drawing for and surrounds the front of your diff mount and housing. I need something after moving my R180 rearward the strap wouldn't go around it anymore.
  13. d240zx2, actually I have shopped a bit and most don't want to touch a classic car job (i.e., restoration vs collision).
  14. I appreciate all the support, I really do. It makes me appreciate this club. xray, Candyblue is the one who had to give up my job due to his employer making a business decision. He's a great guy and does awesome work. I wish there was another way I could get him to paint my car, but his schedule is full. If you have normal collision work he's the one I would go to.
  15. For the life of me, I cannot seems to get my Z painted. I've had different things happen from money going up in smoke, to waiting for 6 months then having the shop change their policy on classic car restoration. It almost seems as though it just isn't in the cards for my Z. Some shops want too much money and other don't want the job. Morale is low right now; a stroke of good fortune would sure help.
  16. You all know that VINs didn't exist until 1980 right?

I guess NovaSS lost interest in his question. Maybe we should stop answering. Carl, my seats are the non-reclining type with support straps under the cushions, obviously they had a large supply of these to last a long time.
  18. Anyone seen that commercial where a guy is taking a perspective customer (private sake) to look at a car in a parking lot, and when they get there it's stripped? Damn shame I say!
  19. My son has that game and loves it. He's been driving the Z's too.
  20. I overhauled my entire suspension and I still get body vibration at high speed, like buzzing metal. I'm not sure what causes this. Is it just thin metal construction?
