  1. Glad to see you're still around E-train. Without a Z, I'm surprised you're still here. Most folks end up leaving, good on you.
  2. I bought it for $400 out of a junk yard and rebuilt the engine.
  3. What ever happened to Brian Morrow?
  4. Well, whatever you think you need.
  5. Sorry to hear that, I have a 71 510 with the interior still in awesome condition in 1981. Kept coating it with Pledge.
  6. The first car that I learned to drive was a 1963 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 4-dr sedan. The second car I learned to drive was a 1971 Datsun 510 4-dr sedan. The first car I owned was a 1971 Renault R-12 station wagon.
  7. The Datsun Service Manual states that the stock offset for 1971 240Z wheels is 0.59".
  8. Why would anyone need 8" wide wheels? You know that you are increasing the drag on your Z don't you?
  9. I suppose it goes without saying you don't have a stock shifter knob.
  10. So what did you end up buying? Now that you're 3 years older, tell us the latest news.
  11. Illuminated heater consoles didn't exist till 1973. Prior to that you had to use the map light to illuminate the heater controls.

    A/C sticker

I'll give you a dollar for it.
  13. This is exactly what I purchased from Les Cannaday. I bought an entire set of seat covers and foam replacements for both seats from Les for $395. I haven't installed these items yet, but the quality seems as good as one could expect. If you buy leather you will not get the matching grain pattern as found on the center sections of the seats and the shift boot, not will you get the chrome air vents found on early seats. It's a tough decision, because leather is really nice, but if you want to maintain a reasonable level of authenticity, go with vinyl. I'll tell you something else, I like supporting a man that has done a lot for the Z community when I can.
  14. I have the left most pad. Too bad you can't find one with the inner plastic ring intact.

Someone is working on door panels.
  16. I just purchased a whole set including covers AND foam replacements for both seats from Les for $395.
  17. I'm going with original-spec springs, KYBs or Tokico HPs and Energy Suspension bushing kit. I'd like to get the Suspension Techniques sway bar kit too.
  18. WASO important about this key anyway? :stupid:
  19. Odd looking shift knob you have there. What are those buttons or lights above the fan switch? Is that bag next to the driver's seat OEM?
  20. "It's not usual to be loved by anyone" da-da-dot-dahhhhhh :devious:
  21. Bill, I'm not sure why you think I implied that you think war is good. I was talking about your comment about kicking this guy out of the country and how he lacked the balls to join the military when he was young. Maybe I lacked the balls too, but I had other circumstances that affected my decision at that time.
  22. I have to disagree on one point. I don't think he is happy when troops die but maybe feels that they are stupid for joining the military for little pay, nevertheless I'm not defending his website or opinion. I think Colmes brought the focus to the right area. If this guy disagrees with the pay and benefits that the soldiers are getting, he should be fighting that battle with Congress. He shouldn't be degrading our troops, and calling them scumbags. However, I suspect there is more to this man's hate than pay and benefits. He clearly did not understand the big picture of how the troops are fighting for our freedom and way of life. He is the real moron, not the troops. Bill, I don't agree with your statement. I didn't join the military, and it was for reasons you haven't mentioned. I think your brush is too broad.
  23. Read the title of this thread. It only mentions 240Z. Where are the examples of 240Z's? 280ZX, 280Z....bah humbug :devious:
