How did you fabricate the new intake duct?

Haha, thanks. I don't think I'm in the same ballpark. But that is some nice work there.

Cowl - Top Inner rust repair
Part #66310-E4600 is where the air intake for the HVAC fan is located. The fan is bolted to the underside of this cowl over the intake opening. This intake is a sheetmetal rounded rectangular duct with a flange that is welded to the cowl. I have rust around the flange of this intake that is allowing water to leak onto the passenger floor area. This intake is covered by a shroud on the Cowl - Top outer (66300-E4600) that keeps rain from entering this intake. It appears to me the only way to access this intake from the top of the cowl, is to cut out the shroud so that the rust hole can be treated and sealed. Has anyone else had rust issue here? If so, how did you attack this? It appears that they tried to apply a thick bead of sealer/caulking around the this intake (at the factory?) to keep water away from the flange. I used a video boroscope to look under the shroud but it was very difficult to see the rust because of the limited maneuvering of the camera under the shroud. Before I start cutting around on this sheetmetal, I wanted to get some thoughts from you guys.

BTW, how is this stuff holding up under the heat of summer? Does it remain stable?

Hmmm, I still can't make up my mind about which product both performs and is easily installed/applied.

The sudden death of my closest friend Enrique Scanlon (EScanlon)
Well I thought it would be nice, but can't speak for ZCON and this should probably be done by the people that knew him best.

The sudden death of my closest friend Enrique Scanlon (EScanlon)
I wish I had been able to get to know him, sounds like a really standup guy. I'll bet he'd have never guessed all these people admired him so much. You never really know how much you affect the people around you, and that you meet and associate with throughout your life. He even friended me on facebook just because we were fellow Z enthusiasts.

Video: Nissan 40th Anniversary Z Tribute
Forty years ago this month the Datsun 240Z arrived in North America, heralding a new era in sports car design. The 240Z was a revelation to the automotive world an affordable sports car that could be driven every day and was accessible to anyone with the $3,626 base price. And though the price of a new Z might have changed a little in the past 40 years, its unmatched value, style, performance and segment leadership remains stronger than ever. To celebrate, Nissan has created a special, limited production version of the current 2010 Nissan 370Z Coupe, the 370Z 40th Anniversary Edition. It will be available at select Nissan retailers nationwide beginning in spring 2010.

240Z Seat Belt Hangers?
Obviously these seat belts changed every year based on changing NHTSA requirements, that I believe were in flux during that time. The pictured belt above and by 26th is nothing at all like my 8/71 belt which has the Z logo printed on the center of the push-button female buckle. The j-hook was also located on the vehicle below the forward part of the quarter window. BTW, the bolts are 7/16" x 20. Here are some photos: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/open-zcar-discussion/48091-looking-re-tractable-seat-belt-parts-restoration.html#post417772

headliner question
Well there are other options as well, like spray-on lizard skin. They have two products 1) sound deadening and 2) thermal insulating. You spray on #1 and then #2. I suppose then you would adhere the headliner to that.
