  1. Carl, the 432 (Datsun) spoiler that Les sells, is fully enclosed on the bottom with fiberglass, and the studs for securing it to the hatch are mounted in this bottom piece. I would imagine that a small o-ring or thin rubber washer would be a wise addition to seal it from water. I believe some spoilers sold during those days even came with some sort of seal for the front edge of the spoiler so water would not run underneath, but which ones I don't know. I have the 432 rear spoiler from Les, as well as the BRE front spoiler (made from BRE molds). However, I understand that BRE front racing spoilers were different from the ones they sold.
  2. I would probably go along with you on most everything original except AC. The Z is a hot SOB in the summer, even with all the ventilation going.
  3. What you up to, boy? Hehehe, good to see you.

  4. Funny, I use Prothane bushings and did have to use torches or anything. Did I miss something?
  5. Hey H, what's happening on the parts reproduction front?

  6. Good to see you around Carl, thought we'd lost you. Haven't seen you much in months.
  7. Have you tried asking folks in Florida? Ask Carl Beck.
  8. Mine does, but it's the 432 spoiler from Les.
  9. Yeah, but this was done through a dealership, right? I mean the manufacturer knew about it, right?
  10. Is that a dent in the drivers door? Did you notice the Datsun radiator cap, and radiator hose?
  11. The change occurred in 7/72. That's when the slave cyl rod and hole in the fork apparently changed.
  12. Sorry to hear about the accident, glad you're okay. I can imagine how you must feel, but it sounds like there's definite hope for your car. At least it was the front instead of the rear. Good luck with parts. I think I might have a pass strut/control arm assembly for a 72. I'm not 100% about the control arm. Email me, and I'll try and see. I may have a light scoop too. If you buy new wheels you might want to go to 16's. If your budget is tight, Konig's are probably the least expensive. bryan223@cox.net
  13. Hey, I hope you're not taking a shot at that thread, I might have to take offense. Anyway, Mike G is doing the right thing as the owner of this site.
  14. When designing systems for flow, it's always good to reduce losses.
  15. Just give Mike directions, he'll drive over and get the parts off.
  16. This is type I have. I'm not sure if it's like the BRE system. Mine is Suspension Techniques.
  17. Steve, have you tried installing a Pertronix electronic ignition?
  18. I have one of those pans too, off ebay. It was pricey, but I think I got a good deal within the going price range. I rust primed mine and then handed painted it gloss black. But I'm going to go with a semi-gloss most likely before it goes on. This is a fairly rare part from what I've seen, but it should be common. Strange.
  19. Look for shorts. Clean the switch with contact cleaner.
