Brake warning relay
Hey guys, the other day I jumped in my 78 280z for a quick spin and I noticed the brake light was on. My brakes are fine and the emergency brake switch seems ok. After 15 mins of driving I heard a buzzing sound coming from under the passengers seat. There appears to be a relay there (brake warning?) I disconnected it and of course the sound went away. What would cause this and is there any remedy or does it need to be replaced?

Air Flow Meter
Hey everyone. Quick question. Recently removed air flow meter- 78 280z to change rubber hoses. I noticed inside has a lot of carbon buildup. Is there a way to clean inside?

78 280Z Gauge Problems
Well, I've found the fusible links. They were under the relay cover, not attached to it. Is it standard to have these items crimped together, in a loop? Or should there be a way to remove link if bad? By the way while looking for the fusible links I found my heater/defroster vacuum line disconnected. All is well now with that issue. But I still have a problem with the gauges. So the battle continues....

78 280Z Gauge Problems
O.K. I'm a novice when it comes to wiring. I looked in engine compartment I think I've found the relay area, shouldn't the fusible links be attached to the cover. If so I do not see mine in that location. I've found 2 connectors, but I think it's for the fuel injection. When I disconnected 1 of the them the car would not start. Does anyone have a picture of the exact location for the fusible links?

78 280Z Gauge Problems
This is my second question in this forum. Last one was answered quickly and pointed me in the right direction. I'm hopig for the same. The following gauges do not work. Fuel, Oil Pressure, Temperature. Volt/Charge and clock work fine. Where do I start. Let me state that I recently purchased a new Haynes manual and I would need a 100 power magnifying glass to read the wiring diagram. Any starting points? Fuel light will come on when I'm low.

Tail Lights Always On.
zpizzaman20 was spot on. When I looked in the car a few minutes ago there was a yellow plastic piece on the floor mat. I reinserted it and all is well again. Thanks again for the suggestions.

Tail Lights Always On.
Thanks to everyone for their suggestions. I'll check them out when I get home today. Yes only the tail lights/brakelights are on. All other lights are off. If I did not mention it, this is with the car not running and key out of ignition.

Tail Lights Always On.
Hello, I'm new to these boards, but not so new to 280z's. I currently own a 1978 280z that the tail lights all of a sudden will not turn off. This problem just arose. I drive the car maybe once a week. I had to disconnect the battery terminal to disable power. Probably could have just removed a fuse but oh well. Any pointers, any ideas where I should start first. All other lights work fine.
