  2. The dash was pulled off, but is good no cracks, tach missing, has triple webbers, header, MSD 6al electronic ignition, MOMO steering wheel, and looks like recaros in good condition. Has flat lense headlights? Looks like it has been lowered, don't know how yet. Urethane front air dam. I may do a poll about wether to restore or part out. What do you think?
  3. Only bad rust on exterior was the dog leg drivers side. Floor pans appear okay. I will know more when I get it to my house Tuesday.
  4. I went, I saw, I conquered. Pics to follow!

Sounds to me like fuel starvation. May be a bad fuel pump, or trash in the fuel tank.

Does anybody know where to get a three piece rear spoiler? It looks something like the spoiler on the 1970-79 Z-28 Camaros.
  12. If I want to decarbon an engine I poor water into the carbs slowly while revving the engine.
  13. The old school method of determining proper jetting, once you have gotten close, was to run the car and kill it at certian RPMs then pull the plugs and read them.

Many of photos of the Zs i see online do not have a belly, engine splash tray. What is the story? My 74.5 260 Z doesn't have one. I live in Houston and some times it rains a lot, I need one. Any ideas?

I can't open that pdf file. Do you have the direct link?

Yeah, that's what I thought. I believe I have the early electronic distributor, no module next to it.

The indicator needle on my Tach on my 74.5 260z kinda wanders around and pegs early. I have read some postings here and I am thoroughly confused. My car has an electronic distributor, and the coil has a resistor. Is this correct?

You could probably have that one silver soldered. A used one could crack at the same place.

Mike, with the special hood vents, and all that insulation on the fuel lines. I would venture to say that your car experienced some severe vaporlock problems at some point in time.
  21. I have attached a photo of my 1988 BMW M6, its makes nearly 300 hp dinan chiped, and has the dinan stage one suspension. It's very refined and doesn't have that raw sports car feel and sound experience that I get from my Z! My daily driver is a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad cab pickup, with the factory 20" wheels, chrome step rail & hard tonneau cover, all in black. (Texas Car).
  22. I didn't think Austraila had roads 45 years ago!
  23. Bless you my son! I live in the Houston area, but will be visiting daughter with new grandbaby in Kiln, Mississippi, Alabams, is just a short hop away!
