Congratulations to Kats for our Ride of the Month
Hi All, I would like to personally congratulate Kats for his HLS30. It is one of the very best examples that I have seen anywhere. Well done to Kats and keep up all the hard work that you must put into the car to have it in such condition.

Photo of me!!!
Thank you all for the kind comments. I try hard to get the car looking good with plenty of attention to detail. Will keep you all posted on the progress of the project.

Hi Zorro, the colour is from an Audi RS4 (the V6 Bi-turbo 4WD Audi) It is called Imola Yellow and the paint that I have used is called Glasurit, one of the best paints that money can buy.

Z Monster, I don't know the exact weight differences between an RB26DETT and an L series. Length wise they should be fairly close to being the same as the are both 6 cylinders. 3/5??? Is that because it is not in a finished state!!!

1973 Datsun 240K Skyline Coupe (C110)
Nice find Alfadog. Your 240K must be one of the few coupes that aren't dead from rust problems (much worse than zeds!!!) or haven't been crushed.

77 260z parts car (must buy today)
Hi Gavin, my good friend/mechanic has been racing Datsuns/Nissans for over 10yrs or so. His workshop is called SST Automotive and is in Welshpool, you might want to talk to him to see what is possible for your needs. His Number is 08 9350 5444 (Steve Thomas) http://www.sstautomotive.com.au/ but note that the address has not been updated. You may want to ask him about doing and injected L series etc.... For suspension, I have found that Wilkinson Suspension Centre in Bayswater are among the best in the trade. Hope that helps.

Interior Ergonomics
Hi All, I would have to agree that the car is originally designed as a RHD car, and then only AFTER, was it adapted to LHD mode. Out of interest, for those of you that have driven a LHD S30, what about the positioning of the pedal box? Is it in a "nice" position, or is it too close to either the left or right? Maybe that will also help this "debate" Now out of topic, Alan, your number of posts are fast approaching the magic 432 number, I am sure at the moment that anything "432" would almost appeal to you!?!?

77 260z parts car (must buy today)
Hi All, If it is a 2 seater then it is well worth the $250 (and more!) If it was a 2+2 then it may be worth it, depending on what it has (carbies, diff, gearbox, moustache bar, head, etc) and also what you need for your 240Z.

350ZG - Very Bizarre - Tamiya Model
Hi All, I attended this years Tokyo Auto Salon and was amazed at the numbers of tuning companies that had Z33 cars which they were showcasing their develpoed parts. (I LOVE the TAS!!!) I am currently in HK, but when I get back home to Perth I will upload my TAS images. Anyway, on the Z33 ZG topic, there are no fewer than two companies that have developed ZG look body parts for the Z33 (front bumpers etc). One is called Z Sport (Central 20) and the other is Impul. The Impul front bar for the Z33 actually has a bit on the bumper to replicate the silver/grey bit on the original 240ZG. Pics to come...around mid Feb...worth the way (well I think so anyway!)

Similarities between 240 and KGC10 Skyline Coupe?
Hi All, Jeff Ash owns C-Red Tuning, a Japanese car importing outfit in Perth W.A. Here is a link to the car that he is talking about, it is the blue '72 Skyline. http://www.c-red.com.au/newstock.html And yes, Alan does have lots of literature on this model (as well as the S30 cars) so give him a question or two, or three!

Bought a 240z today, Perth WA.
Hi All, congratulations Mr Camouflage, I am sure that you will have many fun days ahead of you with your new purchase. It seems that I am missing out on all the WA zed action whilst being overseas!! But then again, I miss out on all the sales when I am home anyway. Very interested to see the photos, and also the kind of prices that 240Z go for in Perth, when you can actually find one!!

If I am not wrong Alan, 432Z go for around 4 to 5 million Yen??? hhmmm I wonder how long it would take me to save up that much, and also convince my girlfriend that we don't need a house etc... Well done, great project!!

432R replica project car
I think my dinner is going cold because I can't stop looking at these amazing pictures of yours Alan. (I made that bit up about the dinner, but the pictures are amazing!) Are you going to have the ignition key near the gear lever? If so, is that going to be a bolt on part or did it have to be welded to the body? (the metal casing for the ignition barrel)
