  1. I think they are CCW wheels? Have seen a few cars of hybridz forum members with the same wheels.
  2. Some of the ones that I have:

Nice to hear that you are well Alan. I was abit worried there for awhile... For all of our safety, I hope all this crazyness ends very soon. Take care, Cuong
  5. good write up Chris! it should be helpful for all those that are thinking of fixing their rusted floors but havent bodywork before. all those pictures as well as the writing make it very easy to follow the steps. as a side note, are the front and rear ZG flares both from the one mould? Cuong
  6. I think for your $15K you are far better off with the 180sx. You will not be able to swap in an RB25DET or RB26DETT and also do a good repair on your body + paint for that amount. Also to swap in the A/C stuff is quite time consuming so if you are paying some one to do all your mechanical work, electrical work as well as panel and paint your budget does not cover the work required by the sounds of things. Also it might be worth enquiring on the insurance on the 180sx as I know imports are not cheap to insure and most companies wont touch them at all. Good luck, Cuong Nguyen
  7. Hi Symon, congratulations on the purchase. There are a few pictures of a Silvia that came up for sale here in Perth, Western Australia in my photo gallery on the 4th page. http://www.classiczcars.com/photopost/showgallery.php?cat=500&page=4&perpage=12&ppuser=1898&what=allfields&=&action= I wish I still had my R32 GTR It is easily the best all rounder car that I have ever owned. I will be back in a GTR ... Cuong Nguyen
  8. Hayden, try Perth Brake Parts in Welshpool. Most mechanics get their brake rotors, callipers and pads from there. They also re-sleave leaking master/slave brake & clutch cylinders too.
  9. monday was bad, all of our greenhouses were damaged with the plastic roof tops being ripped off. one of the greenhouses collapsed all together. lost of damages in the buildings as well as loss of crops. the worst part is that we dont have insurance
  10. Mr Camouflage - all those cars are REAL! there is no photoshop going on ...
  11. Hi all, here is a link to some "interesting" body and exhaust styling of Japanese cars. There is even a 260Z and a 240K in there too! http://tanetane92.web.infoseek.co.jp/20050116tas2.html Does anyone know what the initial inspiration or the official term that they used to describe these cars?
  12. SAFC can be used on both NA or turbo cars as long as its equipped with Air Flow Meters. I think SAFC stands for "super air flow controller"? Craig - there are benefits of using SAFC even at factory boost levels. I have seen a number of cars on dyno runs that are running rich A/F ratios on stock ECU. I think the factory tunes the cars rich to build in some safety into standard cars.

I have installed the same seats in my yellow 240Z. I agree that if I was to do it again I would choose some seats that arent as wide at the top and bottom. I actually had to get new seat belts as the old ones didnt have enough adjustment anymore after the seat install, not a big problem as the old ones werent the best condition, but something to consider.

  15. hi James, thanks for the information. i ended up buying a stuffed 240k 2 dr auto tailshaft as well as a 1978 C210 skyline one. the k one was damaged in the front section (the rubber bit) so i had to mix and match the two (the C210 rear half is sligthly longer than the K one) now its all in the car, so the problem is solved Cuong PS is the rubber part in the middle section replaceable or not?
  16. thanks for the prompt reply guys. the problem is that the previous owner kept the 240k 5 spd and its tailshaft to fit into his 1600 (not sure why he kept the tailshaft as the 240K is a two piece one and I am pretty sure the 1600 are a one piece shaft) and gave me the 4 spd from the 1600 and no tailshaft! it used to be a auto 4 dr 240k but has been converted to manual. I am now putting one of my 240Z 5 spd gearboxes behind the L24. i might just have to take some measurements and see if the 2dr are the same part, will let you all know what i find out. thanks, Cuong
  17. Hi All, currently converting a 4dr 240K GL (1976) from auto to manual using a 240Z 5 spd gearbox. My question ... is a 240K coupe auto driveshaft the same length as a 4dr 5 spd manual driveshaft? Been hunting around for a 4dr manual one that will be what I need but cant locate one, the only one that I know of is a 2dr auto driveshaft so I would like to know it that would fit... Thanks in advance, Cuong

as far as I know, the RB26DETT intake manifold has a different bolting pattern to the RB25DET. you can however buy aftermarket forward facing intakes from GReddy (Trust) and other companies. http://www.trust-power.com some people modify the standard one buy welding shut the factory one where it crosses over the plugs cover and welding a flange to take the throttle body at the front. I however do not recommend this unless you are running close to stock power (ie not lots of mods) as this will cause some cylinders to lean out as the airflow will favour the front cylinders over the others. Cuong
  19. there was a silver 240z for sale at the "Healey Factory' in Ringwood Victoria that had the 1UZ V8 and a 5spd, was in unique car magazine as well.
  20. hi all, came across this link on how to make electronic ignition for our L series engines http://www.sonic.net/~kyle/gmhei.html#coil anyone tried doing this before? if so how well does it work? thanks, Cuong
  21. Thank you Rob for sharing the TAS '05 pictures with us all. I would love it if you could upload anymore that you took of the event. I went in 2003 and it has been the best car show that I have attended so far. A must see for all modified car lovers! I am now trying to think of ways to get myself back to Japan for another visit, I loved my short stay there... Cuong

Hi All, My poor little RB26 died at an early age. Very sad about it, was entered to take the car to Drag Combat event on Saturday the 10th April and on Friday the day before it - the engines decides to develop a knock in the block. I think it must have heard of all the love we were planning for it the next day and thought to itself that it would be a good way of getting out of it. Oh well, didnt want to do it but looks like RB26 V2 will be back in the car - meaner and stronger (I hope!) - with forged pistons, rods, cams, o-ringed block and few other nice goodies. Keep you all posted. Take care, Cuong
  24. Hi All, finally the yellow 240Z hits the dyno... puts out 366.7 RWHP on a Dyno Dynamics chassis dyno on Shootout mode - this is at a conservative 15psi (just over 1 bar) setting because the engine is ALL internally stock standard ! tuning abandoned due to standard R32 GTR clutch slipping so my new HKS twin plate one is going in tomorrow and back on the rollers for all Perth crowd, car will be out for the 1st time for the national event, Drag Combat on April the 10th if you want to catch it in action. Take care, Cuong
  25. NOOO Stony, you arent going all soft on us and going back to an L series ?
