  1. eBay had several sets of Tokiko Il's yesterday--you might have a gander at their selection. I bought a set of struts and springs there myself. NOS and in perfect shape.

And to add to the stories, I dropped off my resto, all-but-painted C4 Corvette. The short story: It disappeared for 16 months, and when it came back, it still wasn't painted. "I need two weeks" was the refrain. It was a correct job, not cheap, and with far more heartache than anyone should suffer. For my '70 Z, I am learning to paint.

Thanks for the tip! I am restoring a '70 Z, and a 1985 720. Both need channel liners, and I have searched all over without luck. I didn't even think of J.C. Roger
  4. Actually, lock washers DO function by exerting outward force on the bolt or nut. The "bite" into the mating surface is not, to the best of my knowlege, considered in design parameters. Other lock washer designs do depend on friction, (Star lock washers, for example.)If you are concerned about marring, I would try the nylon washer idea and some Loctite™, as previously suggested.

Hello, all. I have a 1970 240Z (sn 1**8) which has been in the family since new. I plan to slowly restore it, not necessarily as original, while still driving it. A recent excursion in the hands of thieves has left the poor old Z without some frills and extras (heater core and control head, and many other "trinkets" were stolen). It has a 280 block, no fancy parts, original 240 head and carbs. It has a small amount of rust, and some glass is cloudy but it is still a dignified old warrier. I am located in Milton-Freewater, OR which is in the far northeastern part of the state, at the foot of the Blue Mountains.
