Needing 240mm clutch
Hi, Since I finished my turbo conversion, I'm having issue with my clutch slipping in 3rd, I've done some research and found that the 2+2 Z has a 240mm clutch, but since I live in Tassie, these would be harder to find that a 240K coupe, so what I'm after, are there any other Nissan / Datsun that has a 240mm clutch that will fit my 240K Nigel

Fuel Tank Question
Hi, The first picture shows where the lines run, the top one goes to the air cleaner, this returns clean air to the tank when it cools. The bottom one goes to the engine, same place as the PVC goes to, this is for when the tank gets hot (gassie), this allows the fumes to be stored in the engine, and not pressurize the tank, if you take a close look at the valve you put up, you can see how it works. The second, third, forth, shows it going across the fire wall down to the same place the fuel lines are. hope this helps Nigel

ebay - Turbo Exhaust Manifold l24 l26 l28 l30 datsun 240z 260z
Depend what part of the planet you live, in the US these are semi common, in Oz they are not (no turbo L series engines sold in Aus as far as I know), by the time you get one on ebay US, pay the freight, and since most will only do air, and with the $hitty Aus dollar, it's not a bad buy for $150ish Nigel

valve springs
"valve bushings", are you talking about valve guides ? "new stock valve springs:", Nissan ? "valve cover seal" maybe, depends if you wreck the one on it when you take the valve cover off "valve retainers", I haven't on the few heads I have done the seats on "lash pads", only if you change the height of the valve, but if you check the wipe pattern, it will tell you, if you need to change the thickness. heres a link with some info on wipe pattern http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=113441&highlight=lashpad+wipe+pattern Nigel

New to Oz
I would think so, for a 4 door anyway, a 2 door will cost more, if you can find one, so if any one got one for sale in Tassie, let me know :-) .. this is what I've been doing to mine, http://classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24224 Nigel

C110 Skyline badge numbers?
You do realise that the "used by date" has expired, and they're no good anymore, so the best thing to do is sell one to me.. :cheeky: Nigel

Correct, from what I have read, the turbo itself will quieten the exhaust a bit, well that's what I'm hoping, if it's to loud, I will add something later. Nigel

What did you do this weekend ?
Hi all, Still chasing bits for my turbo upgrade, I had some stuff laser cut, BOV flange, oil return flange, this will bolt to the bottom of the turbo, and two other pieces that I will weld (bronze) to the sump to strengthen it where the return will fit, all for $10. also I got 3 meters of 3 inch mild steel exhaust tube, 2x45 degree bends (mandrel), and a muffler, I'm hoping to use 2 x 45 degree bends for the down pipe, if there is enough room, otherwise I will have to get some 90 degree bends. I'm plaining on using 2 copper gaskets for the turbo spacer I need, so the turbo doesn't touch the exhaust manifold, this should work, the only concern I have is to make sure none of the copper is directly exposed to the exhaust stream. I don't want molten bits of copper going through the turbo. As you can see in the picture the weld on exhaust flange fits very nicely. so hopefully over the next week or two I will be finished, well, finish the turbo install, then I'll probably move the whole lot over to my other 240K. It's got a better overall body, and the car that I'm working on crab walks a little I'm told, which may be why the rear quarter was replaced years ago, before I got it, then I'll add my intercooler. After all this, I'll wait for the body bits I'm after, gets some nice wheels ,watanabes clones, 15x8 or 15x10 or so, depending what will fit, I haven't done much research on wheels yet, so when I do, I'll be asking some questions on here.. I love my hobby Nigel

Still adding to my collection, Got this on ebay last week, exactly what I was after, inlet and out let on the same side, plus the core design, from my research is better than the longer tube type for the same core size. Nigel

You need to be careful putting the hand brake on, otherwise the passenger may think you're trying to come onto them.. :-)
