Picked this up last night, The guy I got it from has a workshop, and he works on later model skylines, so I assumed he would install new aftermarket parts, and I was correct, got this for $20. It's nice to deal with some one face to face, I brought a BOV over on www.skylinesaustralia.com, but the guy stiffed me. it was only $30, but that's $30 I could have spent on something else. Nigel

If this takes off, what's needed to paint these ? will / would they be primed ready to paint, or is there some thing needed before hand, before they can be primed, painted ?, I've haven't worked with fiber glass except for some rust patching. Nigel

I saw this, it looks like the earlier one, see where the radio fit and the rear window demister switch is. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/DATSUN-240K-BUCKET-SEAT-CONSOLE-WITH-RADIO-VERY-NICE_W0QQitemZ250361999843QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item250361999843&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Nigel

Here's a good site for 'Z's , if you haven't come across it before. http://forums.hybridz.org/

Aren't 'Z' harder to find than 240K, the only one I've seen in my area is a 280z, with those crappy removable windows thingies. a nice 240Z would be wicket.. plenty of after market stuff for them, from the states.. Nigel

one screws at each end of the strip, and I believe it has some metal clips in the mold that sandwiches onto the bonnet lip, I believe it will come off with a little effort, i.e pulling forward to the bonnet. Nigel
  11. This guy is dreaming, I can't see anyone spending this amount of money for one of these not in Oz anyway. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Datsun-240K-GL-1973_W0QQitemZ250358750689QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cars?hash=item250358750689&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Nigel

Hi all, Yesterday I was checking out my ebay purchase of a RB30 injector rail and injectors (I was after the injectors for my turbo installation), and I noticed that all but the end 2 injectors lined up, so I though this may be useful as a fuel rail for my L24, so after some bracket removing, shorting, and some silver soldering, this is what was left. I'm after some injector clamps to suit my manifold, so if anyone got some for sale PM me. Nigel
  13. Here's another one (just the manifold), This one looks like my L28 one, the first one is different, maybe off a L20et. the turbo out let is in a different spot, and the last bolt holes are not opened ended like my L28 one is. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Turbo-Exhaust-Manifold-l24-l26-l28-l30-datsun-240z-260z_W0QQitemZ140295036803QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Car_Parts_Accessories?hash=item140295036803&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Some one should grab these, since to get these from the US is going to cost you twice as much as what they are now ($100) Nigel

Hi all, Another busy day (I've got the week off) I had my manifold machined across the gasket area, it was pretty rusty and I didn't want the hassle of a leaking manifold. I also made the oil line today for the inlet for the turbo,I made it out of brake line, also got a Tee made up.
  17. It's for my turbo conversion, I will run a steel line (maybe brake line), I don't like the flexi lines myself, I'll do a write up on it, once I start, I'm still chasing bits. Nigel

Hi, The carpet I purchased was exactly the same, as the dash mat I used as the template. so in the end, I just cut it out, and sewed on the edging material, and violia, a original knock off, but I must say, my sewing was not as good as the original one, but I'm pretty happy with it. Nigel

Were these designed for the US market, the second picture (above) reminds me of big American vehicle's of the 80's (the boot area) Nigel
  20. Hi, another easy DIY, I brought this from Super Cheap ($15), it's a perfect fit, no screws needed, it just sort of 'clips into place' make sure you get a sealed type of radiator cap ($8), so the water sucks back into the radiator when it cools. Nigel

Hi, I was wanting to buy a new dash mat for my newer 240K that I got other week, I tried 3 different Auto shops in my area, and it appears no one makes them anymore. Since I'm a DIY type of person, I made this, the carpet cost $15 from a carpet place, the guy said it was just 'car carpet', and the black cotton and edging was about $8 from Spotlight. About a hour and half later this what I made. Nigel
  22. another forum for me to post in, I hope this one 'classiczcars.com' doesn't die out, I found this to be the best (English) forum for our beloved 240Ks Nigel

Each to his own, I did a Google search for the "Datsun Laurel" and to be honest, it didn't do anything for me.. but I didn't see any pictures of any 'done up' ones. Nigel

I was under the impression they are the same, except for the cut, to allow the door to open. Nigel
