sjcurtis, can you scan and upload, your "EF 47" page, The only information I have is page "EF 48", picture 1, 2 posts up. Also if you look at picture 2 for 2 posts up, you will see that I have traced the 8 pin plug, if you look at the picture you will see I have numbers the 8 ping plug with corresponding number on the 9 pin plug, so I believe I have all the wiring sussed out, but it would be nice to have the "full" wiring for the MR30 Nigel

Spent an hour or so tracing the wiring on my 8 pin plug, the diagram show the corresponding wires on the 8 pin plug compared to the 9 pin plug

Have you got a picture of the inside, showing the dash ?

I was hoping to find a diagram that was the same as what was in the car, this way I thought that it would be easier to trace the wiries and remove whats not needed, I need to check the colours of the 9 pin plug to see if its the same colours on the 8 pin plug, and to see if they go to the same location, thanks for your help.

Hi, I'm after a full wiring diagram for a R30 ( 1 / 1985), I have a wiring diagram for the EFI, but it's a little different than whats in the car, ie, one plug in the diagram shows a round 9 pin plug from EFI to where the relays / fuses go, my R30 has a 8 pin rectangle plug, Nigel

I noticed that the skyline in your picture has the reverse lights in the center,brake around the outside I take it, where as the one that 'skyc110' showed the reverse lights around the brake light like a normal 240K GL.

I "borrowed" most of it from the net, but I did have to sort out some of the colours since it was originally written for US 'Z' cars, also I had to add a diode to fix the problem when you turn the engine off, it would keep running, I found that bit of information form another US site orginal site - http://dimequarterly.tierranet.com/articles/tech_iralt.html

Brought myself a MR30 Skyline Hatch today (AUS $275), I fitted the alternator out of it into my 240K today, the R30 alternator was internally regulated, and my old 240k was externaly regulated, anyway, after a search on the net, I found some 'Z' stuff that was almost what I needed to change the wiring, any way this is what I did in the end, http://noddle.customer.netspace.net.au/My_240K/R30%20into%20240K%20Alternator%20Up%20Grade/ This may be useful to some other 240K owners..

DR30, were they sold in Australia ?, or Japan.. I'm new to all this skyline stuff, only found out about a year ago, that my 240K was a skyline..:eek:

Thanks for that zbane, I'll ask one of the teachers here (TAFE) to see If i can get this done, 240kconvertible, I did the search, 1 was in Launcestone (1 & 1/2 hour drive) and the others in Hobart (4 hour drive), I check out the TAFE option first, since I work at one of them .. Nigel

Hi, I'm after more amps from my alternator, what alternator upgrade are there for my 240K ?, a "just plugin" be nice ?, I live in Tassie so cars from the US would not be an option. also it using a external regulator I believe, 2 wire out from the alternator, plus power Nigel

Thanks for that, so I take to do this you would need, Brake Disc - Suit Conversion - Undrilled Commodore VT Caliper Rear (Pair) and a built bracket to hold the caliper to the axle housing ? something like that ? I read some where you could do the same type of conversion using R30 real Disc, and calipers ?, is that worth doing ? Nigel
