I turned on the light switch and pushed the turn signal down ever so gently and I got a smoke signal! F-R-I-E-D Took it apart and ordered a replacement combo for $100 new. I love my Z

The right turn (flipping the turn signal up) is sloppy. Lights occasionally function by pulling the turn signal back like you are putting on the brights. I believe it is the switch but can't find one for sale that is quaranteed to work

Put on my left signal this morning in my 1977 280 2+2 and the headlights died. Not working still! Do I need to replace the entire switch assy or can I do something to repair or bypass the dimmer/turn signal? My dash lights have been in and out for weeks as well. Same circuit, can I bypass something? Thanks Marty

Did the grounds I saw engine and starter. Here is what hapens. Car runs and drives fine, everytime you turn on lights/flashers/apply brakes/fan/power antenna a draw happens. Then it clears and is normal..very fast! I did find out that the guy helping me briefly reversed the battery cables and got a quick arc. Battery is still good and I am thinking the regulator got zapped. Changing that out tomorrow. Car starts and runs.

Sanded and cleaned everything I remembered. Car is in California and was garaged for most of it's life. Pretty clean.

When a load is placed on the battery like brake lights/fan etc.. while driving the radio goes out. Any ideas? Battery and starter just replaced happened right after. Regulator? It also rough idles

Starter was bad fixed the starting issue replacing that. Installed correct battery,new plugs, fuel/air filters. Starts right up. NOW when a load is placed on the battery like brake lights/fan etc.. while driving the radio goes out. Any ideas?

Car rough idles, replaced PCV/Fuel Filter/Air Filter/Plugs. Car is automatic. It also acts like the battery is dead then fires right up! Passed California Smog with fantastic numbers..... Any ideas?

Just got back into Z cars when I moved from Wisconsin to Southern California. Sweet car didn't have to worry about rust at last!
