  1. Oh well...lt1will, guess nobody likes us who loves Z cars AND f bodies. I thought my ride would be killer!! Don't think anyone has a turbo LT1 around here. Good job!!
  2. Hello to all. Newbie on this site and with the Z. Don't know which forum to post this "HI ALL" with a cupla questions. Bought my first Z, a Georgia '82 280zx 5 spd. with 170K miles with rear louver (sp) off eBay a couple of months ago for $800, only cuz it seemed like a "good" deal. Body/interior in fair shape but mechanically very good. All gauges/check system/lights work. All the factory wheelsinc. the "Z" caps are there. Only rust is under rear of passenger seat, although it's all the way through. AC not working and the radio panel has been hacked. Even came with the owners' manual!! Beforehand, I thought the Z cars were cool but never got hooked on them. See, I have a 2002 Ram Air Trans Am (WS6) I'm getting turboed and a whole lot more. Thus my screen name, thought it would be different. Back to the Z. As I drove it back to Alabama from Georgia (after replacing a fuel injector in the AutoZone parking lot and hot wiring the PWs) it was running/driving/braking GREAT. Really cool driving car. Uses no oil either. Great gas mileage. Felt like "new" to me but what do I know about the Z. I could go on but won't. 2 questions (of many); how fast is it running (bone stock) when in 5th gear turning 4250 RPM? (tires need a lil balancing at that speed.) I guess I have the R200 with 3.90s. 2.) Recently the "sensor" light came on (car still ran great though.) The owners manual says it will do that every 30K miles; replace the O2 sensor and it will go out. I did and the light still stays on. I disconnected the battery for 15 mins. or so, still have the light. Engine still runs great. Any help on this?? Finally, I'm an over the road trucker I don't get online much (twice a week). When I do, I read more than I post. Again HELLO TO ALL!!! Sorry 4 long post.
