  1. Here's some photographs of the two sets. Note that one is missing the plastic handle that fits over the adjustment lever. It still works. The plastic cover cracked and fell off. I might still have it  but it would have to be glued on. They work fine but need some cleaning up and lubrication.  I suspect shipping would be expensive to Finland.

  4. My 3speed automatic transmission started to leak and took propeller shaft to see what's going on. I found out that rear seal was in pieces, but the didn't harm the rear part of gearbox(new seal is going to be tight). I was trying to figure out what caused that and noticed that the axle which is inside tha gearbox is very loose. Should it be like this or should it be tighter? Is there a bearing which holds the axle steady?
  5. Well, I did find the plate eventually... It's was behind the AC compressor. If I look at engine number on the block, is originally located behind some tube, which start side of the block and goes to the front? Also, I have one thing that keeps me asking things here and hybridz forum and that's the fact that my car is from US. Last location was in LA area. But thanks for the help on this thing. I found out that I have original engine under the hood and now I can start lookin for another engine so I can spare this one for restoration.
  6. Sorry about posting little bit hasty, but it's not easy to spot things which aren't on your own language. Is there another way expect the one maddos "nicely" pointed out...?
  7. I will continue because this thread goes close to what I'm wondering. How do know if I have the original engine under the hood?
  8. Hi I'm quite new with my Z, but also everything has worked smoothly with my car. Now the only problem, which I haven't figured out is where do you check the automatic transmission oil level and where is the spot to make the refill? I have some experience with newer cars, but not with automatic gearbox. I have the factory manual for 260z(y.74), but it doesn't say so clearly how do check the oil level.
  9. I posted this question because I didn't know where to put it. Well, anyway. Does anyone know about the history of my 260z? It used to be in california with license plate 3VHR693 and was transported to cold country of finland in year 2000. It has been in L.A ranch warehousing in year 2000 for some reason(to be fixed I guess...). And before that I think it has been bought from salvage auction 1999. Has anyone owned this car before? or know the history before 1999? Why the car has been painted yellow that bronze? How bad accident has happened to the car? Any information would be nice. The information, which I most would like to have is what kind of accident has happened to the car.
