If I do end up having to have a car shipped to me or take a trip to get the car, I think i may have to put off buying the car until late summer due to lack of money . But I'm still going to be looking for a car and, I'm going down to chicago at least once this summer and will be looking for a Z there. I think IL is going to be my best bet for finding a car. I could buy a SCCA car and restore it as a last option but they are fairly rust free due to not being used here in winter. Well anyways thanks for all the info I'll be hangin around on the board now, I guess getting my 240z is gonna take a little more planning than i thought.

does anyone know how much it cost to have a car shipped?? And how would i go about getting the title changed and stuff like that, if i got the car shipped from another state.

Thanks alot for the info! I'm in MI and there is not many Z's left here, I found a few in IL and my sister lives in chicago so maybe I can go look at some if I go down there. I am willing to put any amount of work needed into the car. I also have acess to almost any equipment I need. My family has had a few cars that were very high maintence so having to spend alot of time working on the car is no big deal to me I love working on cars. This is going to be my first car and project car. I was looking at 510's but saw some slides of my moms old 240z and decided thats what I wanted. So thanks for all the info I'll just keep looking for my Z.

Hi, My name is Rob I'm 15 looking for a 240z to restore and drive daily. My mom had a 240z i forget what year it was but she sold it. I love old sports cars and love to work on cars thats why im looking at the 240z my first car and project car. I think its great that there is a message board like this for these cars and I'm sure I will be asking many questions so bare with me.

Hey this is my first post here im looking into buying a 240z to restore and drive daily. I and was wondering if there are any years that are better than others, also how reliable are these cars? Any info would be great!
