Deadflo, On my 72, at least, from memory.... each float bowl has a vent that goes to the air box, were your filter is on your valve cover... a hose from there to the air box. and then there's the warm air hose from the exhaust manifold up to just below the "snorkle" or air inlet. I think thats it. Dave

The car I pulled these clips from was a '73. I'll have to ask the guy who gave me his '72, he was the original owner. Maybe he knows or remembers having these clips. As to plated or painted, based on whats left of the ones I got, I would have to guess plated. Dave P.S. Carl, have you made it down to that pick-n-pull to pull that butterscotch interior? Looks like I should have pulled the Heater control panel for its "Lighted" feature

Escanlon, You know the right angle tabs that you "hook" the carpet onto under the leading edge of your seat. They slide into those. My guess is that these were thrown-away the first time the carpets were removed. I'll have to check the micro-fiche and see if they're in there. Dave

Brett240z I think your right, I have yet to go out and disconnect my bar to check, But I did notice where the bend is towards the a-arm the bar comes very close to the frame rails. I'll go out and play with it Monday nite and see what happens. Dave

Zers' Like most of us I go to the wreckers.....often. Woke Sat. morning, after seeing Bonds hit 700, with a bit of a hangover, I had until noon to get home, it was 10:30. I had been to the one in Fremont last weekend, and hadn't been to the one in Hayward in about three weeks. I live about a 1/2 hour from Hayward. I had decided to go for it. I walk in and could tell there was a fresh turnover. Tons of old Datsuns and Toyotas, a 610, B210, etc. Thought to myself, It looked like an all japanese collector gave up on his collection of cars.. It was amazing. And there it was, a 73 240z, It looked like someone began a resto, but gave up. The body was sanded and primer. Yet it was all original. The interior was Butterscotch and mint, the console was perfect, the steering wheel was pristine, the original carpet looked like it had never been lifted! As I was removing this fantastic console, I descovered that the Fuse cover is actually spring loaded, go figure! The fuse block was perfect, I grabed it. Then pulled the steering wheel. It was a good day. I left the Butterscotch interior for the next guy ....hint hint you Bay Area guys. Good door panels, arm rests, and plastic. Then I found these (see pic) in their original position, I've never seen these on a Z, and can't wait to clean them up and put them back into postion! So If your in Haward CA. end of West Winton Ave. and need butterscotch interior bits, get overthere ASAP!!! Dave

The one thing I don't like, or am concerned about, with these Eibach's is that at least the top three coils are stacked, literaly sitting on top of each other doing no good at all. Whats up with that?

Brett, You may be onto something there... I'm running a 1 inch or so MSA front bar. When you talk adjustable bar, are you refering to adjusting front and back on the frame rails? Who makes an adjustable one? anybody else running an "adjustable" one they can describe or shoot a pic for me? Dave

Hello fellower Zer's Well, Z's back from painters, and all put together, now time to try ander understand why the front end sits about 1 inch higher than rear. About a year ago I put Eibach progressives in, tokico non-adjustables, and poly bushings. According to searches on this site, the .001 went in the front, .002 in the rear. (by .001 and .002, they are the last 3 digits on the part #'s) Do I need to cut the front springs :mad: Any ideas? Thanks Dave

I finally got my "renewed" gas tank in, all new "fuel" hose and all! Now I can fill-er up and not smell gas! Dave

Do you think they would have put that fog light switch where the raised Z emblem is, between the ashtray and shifter (72-up)? seems like a good place. Dave

I thought of that also (parts car) but keep in mind you have to use a special "drill bit" to remove them. The "good" one you remove will look like swiss cheese! I picked up mine from courtesy. Once I remove what was left of the old one, suprise!, serious rust underneath it. Had to cut it out and hand fabricate patch panels for it. Thank God work has a Tig welder I can borrow on occasion. I usually turn it kinda tight, then back off 1/4 turn. I'm sure there is a more scientific way, but this has always worked for me. Dave
