We've got relatives down there in Simi. Apparently it's just a big haze of smoke from their house and they've got their cars all packed and ready to go since the fires are right over the hills.
  3. Great pictures with some beautiful cars! Congrads to your dad!
  4. Looks beautiful!:classic:
  5. I drive mine everyday, rain or shine. Snow is another story.

Have you checked your FPR (fuel pressure regulator)? Should be at 36psi.
  8. Looks like they finally added Ferrari in the game too.
  9. Very cool! I'm just waiting for the day they come out with the one you can't tell appart the game from real life.
  10. Torwards Ron.

  12. Congradualations, what an honor! That is interesting as he doesn't seem to be into Japenese cars as much. When used to post on his site (Jay Leno's Garage), I asked if he has or ever owned a Z and said that he didn't and the only Datsun he ever owned was roadster. Bet he'd fall in love with a Z though if he bought one.
  13. I did that very samething once at work. I was installing a bagger system and had to pre drill holes for it and I finally got one of the mechanics because it wouldn't go through and made a big fool out of myself once he showed me that I had it in reverse.

That's beautiful! Looks identical (other than the color) to the Lime Green one posted here before.:lick:
  16. They sure are! FWIW, I'll share what I've thought about the experience that I've had with mine. So far I've put close to 10,000 miles on mine. It has not once ever left me stranded or broken down. I've done a ton to it in the past year and that has accounted for a lot of it, but it never seizes to amaze me how nice it drives for a 31 year old car compared cars of today, it's amazing to me atleast and think about it every time I drive it. Another thing is how nice and smooth these engines run when they are in tune, they are so silky smooth it's rediculous. Having EFI is also a pretty cool thing to have for a daily driver. Starts right up every time and no pumping of the throttle is necessary. One thing to remember of coarse is, don't expect to buy one and not ever have to do anything to it other than basic tune-ups. Expect unexpected things to occur out of the blue every now, but most things that I've found are pretty easy to take care of. I guess what I'm getting at is that it's pretty amazing how well these cars hold up and can be with a little care.
  17. Guys, (courtesy of Arne) I should have known and researched this, but the 13" Mesh wheels will not clear the front brakes on a Z car.
  18. Correction, the Mesh wheels are 13x5.5 and the slotted Mags are 14x5.5
  19. I've got a couple sets of wheels I'm putting up on Craigslist for $100 each. Thought I'd post them here if there was anyone in the Seattle area by chance looking for a set like either of these. 15x6 Mags. No curb rash, dents or dings, good condtion. Could use a good polishing job to shine them a bit. 14x6 Mesh wheels with offsets and center caps. No curb rash, dents or dings. Center caps are not in the greatest condition, but the wheels are in great shiny condition.
  20. Wow, quite a story! That must have really been something to see it again in the same condition that you left it 30 years later. You'll have to post pictures of it! Would love to see it!

I ended up painting the engine, aircleaner box, carbon canister and a/c ilder pulley and bracket Pontiac Blue which is pretty close to the original Nissan blue. I kind of regret not getting that blue, but at the time we were doing the engine swap, we really didn't have the time to go searching around for the original color.
  22. Wow, it's beautiful!! Looks great!!
  23. That's pretty much just as I was thinking.
  24. Check your connections to your thermotime switch and head temperature sensor for corrosion or if there loose which can cause a rich mixture. Another thing to check is continuity on your thermotime switch. Sounds like your plugs are fouled too which may be a reason why it's not starting.
