    That's one nice 280!
  4. It looks like it may have been left on the side of the road for a while or even at a wrecking yard possibly from those whiped off/faded numbers that you can barely make out on the windshield that the state patrol puts on cars that have sat on the side of the highway for a period of time if the car is not claimed. Or it could have been through hell and backLOL.
  5. That's got to be a lot of fun shifting with no shift knob.

That's what I said when I saw the little red x and no picture:ninja:

Thought I'd post some pictures of my seats that just got redone. I got the MSA original style seat covers and had them professionally put on and also had them rebuild and add foam on the inside them, especially the driver side which was the worst and pretty much shot. It's a big improvement over the old worn out ones and love the way they feel and turned out!

Sounds like what I'll be having to do sometime in the future too.

I can on mine. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is because it's worn out and was not a feature on these cars?
  15. Z-Specialties isn't a specialty company, they just sell Datsun Z parts in the pnw and work on them and thought I'd post a couple links for you to compare compare prices from.
  16. Here's one from Z-Specialties and MSA. http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/SEL02/33-1020 http://www.datsunstore.com/product_info.php/products_id/83

Wow, great looking car man! It's come along way! It would be fun to meet up sometime again and see each others' cars again.

Sounds like that could be it. The relay should click when you turn the ingnition to "on" and it also sends power to the fuel pump so you got a pretty good idea of what it could be. I'd take it out and test it.

That's awesome! I'd be thrilled to find that. I think the coolest thing that I found in my car left by the previous owners was the original shift knob hiding under the seat.

Welcome to the site! You may want to try testing your fuel injection relay which is located right under the dash on the driver side right above the control unit. Also, have you checked to see if you're getting fuel?

I haven't found them to be noisy at all. I've noticed with these tires that they are smoother and a little easier to steer when going real slow in say parking lots than what I had before it which were Dunlops. I actually just got them mounted about 500 miles ago so I can't say a whole lot about them as of yet, but from what they're worth, in my opinion you can't go wrong.

I've got the Falken Ziex 512's on mounted on my 14x7 Western Turbine's and love the look and the handling of them, no complaints there. Something to remember though is that the 14" rims do however provide a large gap between the tire and the fender (also depending on the tire size) something to remember if you don't like that look, but I'm hoping in the near future to lower mine an 1 1/2" with Eibach's to decrease that which is always another option out there.

That is a coinicdence! I hope he joins the site, I like to try and tell other Z owners that I see about the site in hopes that they will join.
  24. That's pretty cool! Interesting choice of a licence plate name.
