E-brake boot question
Is this because of the brake lines?

reciver hitch
When we first bought my 280z, it had a hitch on the back of it. We took that thing off the first day we got it! The car literally went up a few inches as soon as we unbolted that thing!

E-brake boot question
Well, my dad and I decided today that were going to go with the snaps. Were going to pull the seat out and drill holes for the snaps because we think this will work better in the end. Now we just gotta find where to get them.

E-brake boot question
One other thing, I think I'll probably be trying the velcro idea, but can you just buy the male end of the snaps?

E-brake boot question
Wow, thanks the information! That makes a lot more sence to me now that it used orginally have vinal and that's when it had the snaps. I'll have to go down to a craft store tomarrow to pick up some velcro for it and have a go at it. I'm still learning about Z cars, but until now, I never knew that the 280's were installed with vinal either!

E-brake boot question
Tomarrow I'm going to a Z Specialist place and having new ball joints installed, so I will check to see what the guy who works there has to say about it and what he does.

E-brake boot question
I got an e-brake boot for Christmas for my 76 280z, and the boot has four snaps on it. Well in my car, there aren't any snaps, there's just carpet and the car never had one on there when we bought it. It says on the pakage 70-78 240, 260, 280z so is the right one. Any way, my dad thought about buying velcro and seeing and taping it on the the carpet or buying the other side for the snaps and punching them into the carpet, but not sure which is the best way to mount it. What have you guys done to mount these since they don't have the clips?

My 280z Christmas gifts!
Thanks guys, I am pretty excited about the radio! We just took it down to Car Toys to have it installed. Their going to first hook it up to the original speakers in the back and they said their going to see how they sound and if they sound like crap (which 30 year old speakers probably do) we'll have them replaced with new ones. I guess in order to get them, they have to take two panels out in the back so the clips that hold them on will have to be replaced so I'm hoping that won't be a big deal.

My 280z Christmas gifts!
Well I thought I'd show you guys some photo's of what I got for Christmas for my car. My parents got my a Pioneer stereo for it that were going to have installed by Car Toys tomarrow, new shift and e-brake boots, a wheelskin ( 60 minutes to install! ) and a carpet kit for the back which makes it look much cleaner than without one which it didn't have before. what my car looked like without the new carpet kit with the carpet kit, looks much better

Ignition Problem
My 280z does the samething. In one way it can be kind of nice for me anyway because I can let it warm up in the driveway and not have to worry about anybody taking off and stealing it as I can take the key out of the ingnition and lock the doors. Then I just hop back in and stick the key in and go.
