I did walk over there to check out all the fabulous Zs. It inspired me to get my Z back on the road...

The Mitty is a fantastic event. I traveled down from Cincinnati to witness it for the first time last year. I was on Cloud NINE! Not only can you wander the paddocks but the quality of vehicles spectators drive to the event is incredible! Ford GTs, Vipers, Diablos, Tons of Ferraris, Lotus, Big Healeys, You name it, its there in one form or another. I was in the Lotus coral unfortunately without my Esprit as it was getting engine work done. Lotus shared it with Ferrari and Lamborghini and hosted a wonderful lunch for Lotus owners. Got to meet all sorts of fanatic Lotus owners and legends... Its an event not to miss! However this year I'm attending LOG29 in Birmingham and will not be able to attend both events.

Hahahaha!!!! I think I'll give a non-refundable deposit so I can have first buyers rights... I wouldn't trust this guy as far as I could throw him. And all the restored bits will be done with newspaper and body filler!!!

Cool! we saw the same Z! I've heard of the 6-pack club but I can't remember how... Perhaps at the vintage race at Mid-Ohio? Who knows... There was a gorgeous early 280z a few doors down from me. A few months ago she put it for sale... It was an all original, one owner Z! I wanted that car so bad as it was pristine, but the price was way too high. When the price was right for me, it was gone.... I'm trying to track down the new owner and get them to join CZC. So, I know of possibly 3 in the Cincinnati area.... I PM'ed my number as well.

Pictures are deceiving! That pile of crap only ran once when I received delivery from California. The seller said it was a good car when in fact it was a scam. Its a cheap 30 foot paint job that covered up body filler and newspaper! The frame is bent and poorly repaired with 1/4 inch diamond plate steel. He used what ever he could find to cover the rust holes. I removed the usable panels, parts, interior, and engine and the rest is sitting behind my shed waiting to be crushed into a cube. The body shell rusted into 2 pieces! Its is worth more as recycled steel than a car. Bottom line: Never take someone's word that its a "restored" car. It was my fault though as I did not have someone inspect it prior to purchase... I learned an expensive lesson the hard way!

Thanks! British Racing Green is just perfect for a Healey. I remember that car when I was 5. Dad would pull it out of the garage roaring to life. I had to hold my ears! We'd go for a drive and I'd be all buckled in the rear jump seat, wind just pounding on my face as he spiritedly drove down the road..... Such a shame he parked it in 76 for a rusty floorboard and a brake job!!!! It's never been fired up since.. He was the Second owner of her in 1965! A plan is in the works! Trust me, she will rot no more!

Would be fun! I know there are some fabulous cars around here but I never see them. I've seen 1 240z here in a BRE paint scheme years ago... Was beautiful! Never saw it again though... perhaps passing through... We should get together sometime and BS...

Wow!! Some impressive cars in your all's garages. Currently, I have a one car garage with loads of tools and kids toys but I manage to squeeze in 1988 Lotus Esprit Turbo In another garage I rent until I can build a big one on my property somewhere I have my fathers 1965 Austin Healey 3000 that I inherited and awaits restoration My SAD 1970 240Z of course My eBay Nightmare 1959 Triumph TR3A What a POS!!! although it's my brother's its still in my rented garage a Yamaha and Ducati 9 something or other... I'm not a motorcycle person, yet!

Didn't mean to offend, Steve. My comments are based on my own trials and tribulations on getting a title for my Z. Its a long story, so I won't go into details, but I still don't have a title for my Z and I've legally owned it for the past 10 years. Kentucky has some ridiculously strict rules. I have NEVER had good results with KY DMV except when I purchased a brand new vehicle from a Kentucky dealer. Kentucky DMV SUCKS!!!!! I really want 299 to be saved and not parted out, really! Heck, if I had the space I would buy 299.... because my Z is worse!

I've been victim of shill bidding also... then suddenly I get an email from the seller saying the first bidder backed out. would I buy it at xx price... I never respond. the shill bidder didn't intend to win, but either time ran out or drove the price too high.. I thinking the latter...
