  1. If you look at the bid history. It looks to me that the seller is using shill bidders. The same person won both steering wheels and there were several same bidders. Or could be coincidental. I really don't like ebay as its a varying of opinions as to condition....
  2. I can't help ya on the speedometer just wanted to say..... LOOKS AWESOME!!!

I have a Triumph 59 Tr3. Best place to go for rebuild parts for the SU is http://the-roadster-factory.com/ Very high quality parts and the cost is fair. I have always thought if this would work as they look similar.....
  4. its close... I would pass.
  5. WOW, TIS NICE!!! not my choice on wheels... 235/40/17's a donut!!

WOW!!! I didn't see an evo?
  7. Grundy has my business, so far. No claims but with 3 classics 1 being the Lotus Esprit, I pay $500 a year.... not to bad in the whole scheme of things...

I like the size. I like the wheel choice and color. I think I'll save this for future reference when its time for wheels on mine. If I ever get there...... Its all just a matter of opinion anyways.... 280 Color is good too...

In the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area... Unless its a club meet or a track day, I NEVER see another 240Z. I watched a kid rear end a truck in his 260... driver was fine....260 wasn't. I got a tear in my eye seeing its demise... was very sad

Congrats Dan! I just read this thread. I would of done the exact same thing. After all its just a car, which can be replaced, family can't. Congrats on finding work. The best of luck... I need to read this forum more often. What's this about an Darbji's avatar... I guess I miss a lot of things...
  13. Duh I got it kinda backwards. dagn lysdexia...
  14. its a leg attached to a dog! hahaha Good luck with the drive! that will be an adventure itself from MD to FL....
  15. The hood is sitting a little proud on the drivers side... but not on the passenger. It looks to be a quick repaint.. Why take the time to paint the rockers black when there is no rust? it looks suspicious.... definitely pull the carpet up on both sides and inspect the floors and rockers. Don't forget the spare tire well and the rear dog legs... Just my 2c...
  16. Its been a while since I've posted or even read through the forum. I live a few miles from Alexandria and Cold Spring. Thanks for the compliments everyone!
  17. I know an original owner 260z with low miles. Its down the street from me. Always garaged and never driven in the messy weather. I don't know the specific mileage and details or if it has service records, but I can find out if anyone is interested. The only thing I do know is the owner is asking $10k for it???!!
  18. Hi everybody! seems like a year since I last posted about #379 and its restoration... er or lack of one.... The reason is this: Always wanted one ever since I can remember and when I wasn't looking I found one so, I had to buy it.... its an 88 Lotus Esprit Turbo. Although she isn't perfect she is taking all my extra cash... for new front suspension, steering, hoses, brakes, engine tune and interior carpet refresh... just to start... Anyway.. flame suit on.... I have a soft spot for British cars.... Of course the Wife and 3 year old take precedent... the wife may say otherwise... Cheers
  19. Thanks for the reply... Not looking into buying a Z actually... Its 1991 and British....and not a Jaguar. True, Carfax is only good for the reported data. I look for: where it was registered, for how long, how many owners.... The more owners, the more I know the vehicle is "bad" and I stay away from the buy....
  20. Anybody willing to check a VIN number for me, PLEASE? Please PM me and I will provide the VIN number. I gotta keep this under wraps until I get the wife's approval....
  21. Grundy has been good to me also. Rates are comparable to Hagerty.

little update.... Mr. Detroit now claims he never got the email with the attachment..... thats amazing how hotmail suddenly looses emails.... this guy it so stupid..... I think I'll wait a day or two before I resend the email. He'll then claim he can't open the PDF. I could bet 50 bucks on this moron.... SO freaking predictable....

according to DHL they want an affidavit to deter people from filing false claims. wow... what an original concept? DHL is great at customer service but sometimes i wonder.... I don't know if its ignorance or translation why he won't cooperate. English must not be his native language as he can't spell or assemble a properly structured sentence.

DHL does not provide signatures with residential delivery. I have a suspicion DHL left the package unsigned. Which leaves DHL responsible... your suggestion of sending a follow up email is an excellent idea! It would also go that extra step to ensure customer satisfaction.... Hopefully.
