I have a set of these on my 78’ 2+2 parts car that I may be willing to let go of.

Yikes … That is straight up butt ugly! Looks like a Gremlin had a go at a Matador, Or some other 70’s AMC creation. Maybe a micro coffin carrier? I don’t mean to offend anyone but …Yikes!

Anyone remember the "If my stunt can't be done in a Fiat it can't be done at all” commercials? Back in the day a buddy of mine had a 124 which was almost new at the time. He would take it out to the motocross trails and just beat the snot out of that little car. At the time I was impressed with the ‘a strap hanging down at all 3 passenger locations’ feature. Not much to look at, but one tough car.

Thanks for the welcome. There are a few good BBQ places around these parts, but I still like to do my own, so Sweet Tea and eats is not a problem. I know that some will disagree but Nebraska and Iowa pork and beef are just hard to beat. Maybe someone could help me out with a quick question already? I believe the airdam in the pic I posted is a MSA type 2 body kit part. Could any one confirm this? I have 2 good sets of bumpers off of 78’s (one set still on my 2+2 parts car), but they appear kind of bulky to me and I would like to find the same dam that is in the pic before I paint. Also, is this site primarily devoted to the 240? I have rebuilt a lot of cars, but this is probably the cleanest kill that put one on the insurance auction block that I have come across in a long time. She looks a lot worse than it was. Just snapped the strut and bent a control arm, repaired the suspension, stripped the skin, and had it drivable up to a 85mph test within 4 hrs. Look close, just pealed the finder back and did not even scrape dust off of any inner structures. The good side?

Hello Z people, Jim here, I’m a Software Developer / Partial owner of JH Auto - Body shop and salvage yard in northwest Alabama. Over the past several years this has split my time between Omaha, NE (summer months) and Muscle Shoals, AL (winter) although within about 2 weeks I’ll be in the Sioux City, IA area for what looks to be a long time. Z cars I currently have are 78' and 81' Coupes. The 78' will be my keeper and I may part out the 81'. Also I have a complete 78' 2+2 that I will be parting out after I take a few things I need for the coupe. The cars were purchased from insurance auctions in AL so they are pretty much rust free. I have had these cars for about a year now and so far all I have been able to accomplish is fixing the suspension and removing the damaged body parts from the coupe. (Ever notice how your personal projects always come dead last on the punch list?) Anyway I’m going to try and use a pic of it as my Avatar after reducing the file size as I bought it at auction for motivation to finish it up, but most likely will just bum me out while I’m up north enjoying the brisk refreshing winter as it sits in AL. Just wanted to say hi and thanks in advance for any advice / help I may be asking for along the way. The car also has a nice interior for a 28 year old along with a fresh upper rebuild on the motor (receipts were in the glove box.).
