More Electric Nightmares
about the condensation (even though its the wrong post). Im left feeling like a parot going "its not oil its not oil its not oil" and am getting tired of people telling me to look for something that i have said that it is not. or telling me that i know how to fix a problem when i have told them that i know what the source of the problem is but just wish to clean it up

More Electric Nightmares
sorry if i appear snippy (maybee language barrier), about bog or bondo or whatever bodyshops here use it a hell of alot (my uncle in sydney owns a chain of smash repair shops) i grew up in bodyshops all over sydney and if its a hole smaller than your fist they usually just use putty and charge a fortune even going down to the point of putting metal fillings in the mix so no one will find out (magnet test). Finding out the ic module was the trouble wasnt hard but tracing a short in these cars seems like trying to find a particular stand of spagetti in a bowl of bolagnese. If i can find someone that has had the same problem maybee they can enlighten me with thier wisdom.

Would i get away with bogging this up?
Mike here we call car putty bog. some other names are slag, spack, filler, and bodgie. we call it bog because it resembles the mud you find in peat bog. I have no idea why its called spack or slag though but they are common names used in panel beater workshops. I dont think i need to say why its called bodgie or dodgie

Severe Condensation Problem
Its smoking at the pipe. I know its water. The radiator is fine (a little rust in the water but no leaks). How i know its water is i put my hand on the liquid and had a smell (petrol and was the 1st thing i looked for) even though i would do well by overhauling the fuel line god knows when it was done last

Last time i got a can of paint made for me it cost $100 for 10L but it was concentrated so with some thinner i turned it into 1000L its a lot more than you need for one car

Touch up paint in Australia
Is your paint the original colour? If so just get the paint code of the compliance plate and most places will make the colour for you some will even make up a can of touch up for you. I paid $10 for my last can of touch up that i had colour matched. Repco do it too

Best rust stopper P0R15 or Eastwoods?
Have you tried fish oil? Wattle make a decent product the water beads straight off the paint when it dries, but it takes a couple of days to get rid of the smell

Factory Manuals
Has anyone got links to a pdf of the factory service manual for a 1980 model 280ZX? i got a 82 service manual but it does not have the part i am looking for. If nobody has the manual maybee the schematic of the Hitachi 12-80 ignition control module. I am looking to rig up a motherboard that will do the same job as the module as the module is impossible to get in Australia

Just another new user
Its nice to finally find a good site where you get advice and help instead of getting flamed by idiots who seem to have nothing better to do with thier lives than upset people.

Would i get away with bogging this up?
would i get away with bogging up this hole? or does it need welding? its about the diameter of my forefinger

Windshield Rust???
Rust in the windshield,i would start with taking out the windshield sanding back the whole area. Then bog up any little holes (big ones may require welding skills). When bog dries, paint over with a can of kill rust then when that dries paint with touch up paint to match the body unless you want to paint the whole car. Get some sillicon sealant and seal the window back in and use some contact adhesive to `tack` the trim back on I hope this helps (i need to do the exact same thing)
