Mike, I never noticed the three holes on the left side, I'll have to look into that. Thanks for the good eye on the lower valence, hopefully its something from the camera as I don't remember ever seeing that, but first thing in the morning I'm going to check........How could we have missed that......:stupid:

We got the first coat of clear on today so I snapped a few shots. A little more work tomorrow and the final painting should be done on Monday....Yea! Hopefully can start putting everything back together next week, then the interior work begins..........
  3. Congrats on the find, and +1 on Tom Cotters book "Cobra in the barn". Will be looking forward to the pictures and progress.
  4. Goose, what part of Tennessee? If your near Knoxville give me a shout sometime. Also, will not be making the long trip. Randy

Well, lets see, the 1970.....taken the entire car apart, blasted, painted, rebuilt, cut, broken, torn, etc, etc,........I even did some of the work, but mostly it was my wallet. The 1971......nothing. (except drive) The thread about nothing, I love it.....
  8. Here is a close up of the Butterscotch from Classic Datsun, these also have the new foam inserts........

Please excuse the stupid question but how are you guys saving these and then putting your car information in? I don't have photoshop, is there another way of doing it.
  10. Should have the floors in #797 by Wednesday and the final paint by Friday.....I hope. Had a mix-up on shipping and delayed the project by almost two weeks.
  11. Actually got to take the Green 71 out today for a nice long ride, stopped by the lake and took a few pictures. Calling for near 60 degrees on Sunday so hopefully will get to get in another ride. ZZZZZZZ YAAAAAAAAA Randy

Arne and Jonny....... If you don't mind I would love the part numbers if it's not too much trouble. I hopefully will start replacing them late next week. Thanks, Randy

Does anyone know if there is a hose kit for the 240? I have found a few pieces here and there but wasn't sure if anyone made a kit with all the hoses included. Thanks for any direction.
  15. Thanks, Here's the link to Classic Datsun........ http://www.classicdatsun.com/
  16. I have really never noticed the gap but it's there. Mine have all new foam and the seat covers are from Les.
  17. Good eye's....you are correct. The stripes on my green Z are from MSA, before I put the factory stripes on I wanted to make sure I liked the look so I used the $19 MSA as a trial. I did locate the factory stripes thanks to a fellow member and they have been on the Z for about 8 months, you can see the difference and I do prefer the factory stripes better. (Sorry for the bad photo's but had to take the pictures while in the garage)
  18. Wow, My old thread lives on........ As requested here is a picture of a Silver 240 with stripes. Also, here's my 71Green with stripes.
  19. Ahhh, to be 16 again.........
  20. Well, It's been pretty quite around the board lately so I thought I would post this to help break the silence....It's a few pictures from last summers car show complete with two Hooter girls........ My 16 year old son was with me and won a door prize, so I had to take his picture. Hope everyone is doing well, I can feel spring just around the corner...... Hopefully (on a side note) will have some updated pictures of 797. We got delayed with the floor pans and a shipping error, but they should be in by weeks end. Cheers all, Randy

So in the US when you say "ZED" or in the case of "Zedd Findings" are you pronouncing it as like rhyming with "feed" , or rhyming with "Ed".....does that make sense?
  22. Hey Doug, The shop is right outside of Knoxville, about 25 mins from my driveway. By the way I thought you were bringing me a 4 post lift for Christmas.......
  23. Mike, We may have triplets.....I have a set of Rewinds that I was going to use, but your Le Mans looks very nice.
  24. Went to the shop today to visit #797 before Christmas and took a few shots. The Doors, Hatch, and Hood are just about ready and the new floors should go in on Monday. The whole project is going at a wonderful pace....and so are the dollars. The selling of the TR6 helped offset the cost, but like building a house you always go over budget. The engine is pulled and being cleaned, steamed, painted etc, and once the floors are in the engine bay and body will be painted, hopefully will have some pictures late next week. Here's a few pictures, also included a few of the other cars being restored for some of you British guys. Hope everyone has a wonderful Merry Christmas. Randy

Greg, I have plenty of room for the 3000 (ok, not really but I'll find some)........and Greens my favorite color, and Knoxville's not too far from Kentucky...................................So could you "donate" the Healey to me....:nervous: Nice collection you have, but I love that 3000.
