Has anyone recently purchased butterscotch upholstery? I would really like to get my seats done. I can't find anyone with material. ZSpecialties says his supplier is going to get back into it but 2 - 2 1/2 month wait. I live in Wisconsin the snow will be flying by then. Help!

Arne, I saw the same thing, but just assumed that Datsun had offered a two tone combo. That notion was reconfirmed when I saw an ebay ad showing a two tone looking replacement cover, see my earlier post with the image. (I've attached again) On a side note...Multitec(acabookstore) in Malvern Arkansas still has my money ($199) after that purchase attempt since they "ran out of" this material. I have a claim into PayPal on that. Maybe it's not two tone but rather how the vinyl was stamped that allowed it to fade differently? Who's the butterscotch expert out there I can talk to? Well Datsun Spirit got back to me with an apology that they cannot fulfill my order. The supplier no longer does butterscotch. Quick refund on PayPal brings me back to square one again. I would love to see pixs on anyones re-upholstery job on solid vinyl butterscotch seats. Seems like that is going to be my only option. Maybe butterscotch is getting rare and my value is going up:eek::classic: attached is pix on my current situation...pretty sad thanks for any help!

26th-Z, Thanks for putting me onto Datsun Spirit. Even though they don't list seat kits on their site they can get them. I have placed an order $220 incl. shipping for a L & R. Eiji Hosomi states that he can get the two-tone butterscotch seat vinyl look that will keep me like original! I'll drop an update in 2-4 wks when they show up. One less crisiZ to deal with in the refurb process. Thanks again for everyone's responses. This site is awesome!

Anyone have a photo of a vinyl reupholstered butterscotch seat with solid color throughout? That might be my only option.

Thanks for the quick reply. I sent them an email with the question. Nothing on their web site addressed seat upholstery so I hadn't tried them.

My '71 is badly in nead of some new upholstery. the original seats are a vinyl two-tone color butterscotch, dark center (ginger looking) and butterscotch sides and back. I would like to stay with this. I have see a few places advertising this combo but after inquiry for purchase they tell me they are out and won't get anymore material. Does anyone know where I can still get the two-tone combo? if not, does anyone have a picture of the one color butterscotch or the vinyl fabric center combo in vinyl. Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. Seats are out of the car and I want to drive. Thanks Steve

Does anyone have step by step installation instructions and/or pictures for XR700 installation on a stock '71 240z? I have been to Crane's web site and have those instructions, but they are pretty vague. I've searched the archives but don't see any installation instructions, just opinions on whether or not to install this vs. petronix vs. ZX versions of EI. This is already purchased so it's going in...can always come out if it's ineffective. Thanks,
