I spent a few nights starting to rebuild the engine last week and ran into some stupidities with a shitty ring compression tool (Don't buy tool mate). I bought a new one. Broke a compression ring on the last cylinder going in so I am awaiting a new set. After researching the original weight of the car i am hoping for less than 2200lbs New pictures if your interested. Hey Guys, How do I get the rear drum assembly off my 240Z. I need to expose the four bolts to put on my new disc brackets. So, the backing plate, the hub and so on. Thanks Drew

I will run the KA Tranny with a Exedy clutch and a fidanza flywheel. A custom drive shaft and a R200 Diff. I am hoping for a sub 2500Lb finished car but I won't know for sure until i am closer. Close to : estimated $4000 in motor and tranny including motor $2000 in suspension and brakes $6000 in body and paint $1500 new carpet guages and some interior odds and ends I had a spare cage from my old 240SX race car that i salvaged so that will get worked into this car. It will run on a Almasi tuned KA24DE ECU with no frills. Drew

Well the RB26 is a great engine but it suffers from the same problem as the L-series motors heavy and expensive to get big power. With the KA which I had two lying around, you can build it up very well for low $$ and get 400 reliable HP out of it, it is set way back in the bay and set low so it will have more balance. I can do this set up so the car will perform well on the street or track. As for the patching, I did nothing to the car, it came with new front fenders, hood, rear quarters, rear light panel, used good doors and hatch. The patching that was done is minimal and it looks that way because it was coated with a black gravel guard. It is very solid and umtouched underneath. In any case there will be no bondo except for when we fill in the spaces between the lights and the fenders and mould the flare's. keep you posted Drew

Hey guy's new here so figured I would start by showing you a link to the new project. 1971 240Z that I picked up in pieces sand blasted with new rear quarters, new front fenders hood and hatch. The car will be redone to look like the stock race version, lowered with the front air dam valance. With a Turbo'd KA Drew http://www.anothershade.com/240Z.htm
