Still waiting for my shipping quote.....Try this, man, works great: http://wwwapps.ups.com/QCCWebApp/request?loc=en_US . Last couple heads I shipped were 8X12X30 or 8X8X30 or 12X12X30(depending on box) and about 40 lbs. I believe I sent you my business address also. UPS goes down nicely with that. steve77
  2. Energy Suspenion Master kit from Suspension.com in Modesto. That's all they do. And just call them with your sway bar dimensions. The girls who answer the phone are very knowledgeable and the stuff always comes fast and RIGHT. Great price too. steve77 ps. If you have never ordered a bushing 'set' before, sway bar bushings DO NOT come with it because of everybody's differences.

I checked all that and the bumpers seem to be clear and the inspection lids are definitely out of the way. Everything is down flush EXCEPT for the bone-nit. steve

And NO, the right rear bump stop is not up in the way. It is down where it should be and there is an inch between it and the hood. steve77

Finally stuck my 280 hood on the '73 and it latches, but the passenger side (that's the right) corner near the cowl is an inch above the fender and cowl when the hood is latched. The 240 hood that came off lined up perfectly, and the donor car (another 240) the vented hood came off--everything lined up great there too. Everything LOOKS straight and the car has never been in any wrecks. The hinge bolts are basically in the middle of their range. The front corners at the headlight buckets lines up great. Not perfect, but good enough. I don't see enough adjustment in the hinges to clear this problem up, and RAISING the front LEFT corner to drop the rear right would cause it to be horribly out. Is there a trick? Is my hood tweaked? Is my body tweaked? steve77

    >>>that is a perfect bell curve...<<<< Yes, almost all of the 'serious' polls might be a bit skewed at first, but eventually settle out to a perfect representation of a cross-section of society. The recent 'Relationship' poll was an anomaly--as I expected--in that somewhere around 10% of world population is homosexual, and we do not validate that statistic. I suppose it could be an honesty thing, but I guess being a 'car' site places us a bit at the fringes of society. steve77 Social scientist in the box

Well, I'm easy. I want NOTHING stock. I am putting in a ZX motor (yes, FI) and ZX harness to ge the car sorted while my engine is being built and then plan on just simplifying it as the new motor (NOT FI) and 6AL requires. 240 harnesses SUCK. I don't like Car-B-Q. The ZX harness will provide all my lights and dash controls--including tach, pressure/temp, fuel--and also a fuse box that doesn melt and modern ignition. When my 'standard' motor is ready, my plan is to just eliminate the 'puter and engine sensors and wire the MSD in. Don't want to hijack this thread, as I think there is a great market for a 'restored' harness. Out. steve77
