See the new VB catalogue?
Just got a new one today...there is a nice whited-out 240 on the front with these funky Pana/Mini-looking wheels. Inside the front cover they are selling 'Racer-style 8-spoke alloy wheels'. 15X6 is the only size and $219 each or 750 a set. Who makes these things? You would think they could at least get 'Z' center caps! Also, when you check the credits, it says "Front cover photo 'altered from original photo'", so they added the wheels! I haven't shopped for Pana's for a while so don't know how they compare in price. steve

Motorsports Auto car show
Stephen, I'm guessing you paid at the door and/or arrived very near the close of registration. that side street is always the last to fill up, and I agree, that is a different crowd over there! Some of the 510's are incredible, but the Z's over there are usually the most decrepid varieties around! You need to arrive early (before 7) and/or come with a club. stephen

My LUG NUTS are stuck, how can I get it off?
Some more votes: Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize Antiseize And on mags with shank nuts, definitely on the shank also. When you have your rears off, put some around the hub where the drum slides on. Required torque for lug nuts is RFT. steve

Rims - Western Cyclones?
Actually, I know this car and those are the good ones. I know they look almost exactly like the Basset/Circle/Diamond Neckcar wheels, they are the AL ones. Center? The name is very common but I am having a senior moment. Look in the back of GRM or Sports Car. They take forever to order. steve

Streets Willow 2.28.04
I managed to stay ahead of the red one quite easily all day. Even passed him a couple times. But the Green 914 (from Paso!) was running 1:16 to my 1:21!

1971 240Z for sale: track-ready, no rust
If you are getting a refund check anywhere near that big, you need to get a new accountant IMMEDIATELY. What a pretty car. I looked at it pretty hard back when I was shopping. Now I have pretty close to that in my project and it barely rolls! Definitely cheaper to buy them done. steve

Location for oil temp sender
Probably have to go to a smaller filter, as the one I use is about an inch from the inner fender. No biggie. Who needs a big filter when you have a big pan. I'll just go back to the 1515. There is no way I am attending anything! Ihave been racing so much my wife is really tapping her foot. I be staying home. steve

Location for oil temp sender
Thanks Keith... I wonder if there is an adapter plate the filter screws into. Just basically a spacer with a couple ports in it. I am not putting in an oil cooler right now. Just the big pan and Giant filter for now. Maybe I will just put the warning light sender in the other port in the pan--the one for the turbo drain. Not ideal, but..... Interesting: I bought a infared digital pyrometer because I was having some tire issues last month. Last weekend at WS I was pointing that thing at EVERYTHING. It was so fun! Braked disks, drums, radiator tank, and oil pan. If I recall correctly, highest temp I saw at the pan was 237. What a fun toy. steve

Buying triples...
It's coming...It's coming! The carbs are on the new motor now....along with the header and the externally adjustable Comp oil pump and new starter and new alternator and also the tranny and the new Comp LSD and the frame rails are gussetted and the radiator is in and brakes are in with new R4's and bled full of 4, and floor areas are cut out and metal is sitting here ready to be welded in and door guts are out and new ATL is in (haven't built firewall yet) suspension and bushings have been done for some time, and sitting here on the shelf are a Holley Blue, two HPG-1's, all my switches and guages and warning lights and my new 6AL and my Jones tach and my Sparco seat and my roll cage and my 5" Supertrapp and my Unilite and my ITG and...oh, I think that's all. I like to shop a bit ahead of myself! Motor is pretty mild, about 10.5:1 and a 270/460, fully ported head, oversize valves and springs, .40 over, new flattops, all balanced, lightened flywheel. metal shop called today and the sheet of AL for my dash has been broke (breaked). Need to get the cage in and finish welding on the interior so I can wire this puppy. Then Vroom Vroom. Until then, just been thrashing my street car down at Willow Springs. Something GOTTA let go on that poor thing soon. I can't even remember how many times I visited 7000 on that thing this past weekend. steve

Location for oil temp sender
No remote filter, just a 7" filter in the standard location. >>>I'd run it off the adapter plate on the block, before the oil gets to back to the pan<<< Is there any other port? Other than an adaptor plate/remote? steve
-
Location for oil temp sender
Title is misleading. I already know where to put the sender for the oil temperature gauge (in the port for it in the oil pan). What I need to know is where to put the sender for the oil temperature warning light. Longacre says only, "Install where oil flows into engine." Is there anywhere to put it in an F54? steve

Rear glass needed
The horizontal wiring is the same. Wire on left and right of dome light. I can't imagine the glass not fitting. The best price you can find from MidwestZ (Chloe) or Victoria British, I will sell for 25% of that + shipping. Make sense? No gaurantee on the defrost being intact. steve
-
Rear glass needed
I have a rear glass in good condition I will sell for 25% of Chloe/VB. + shipping. It is not a 72, it is a vertical wire. steve
