My Zs get an embarrassing amount of attention from people of all ages....but probably get the most attention from kids. I don't even think they know what they are, they just know they look "cool".
  2. Gary, you need an F4! They're so radical it made my Duc 1098 feel tame by comparison, and looks and sounds like nothing else. Not much on comfort though.... I noticed in your earlier post, you were talking about a manual transmission AWD car. Have you considered a Subaru WRX? They still come with 5-speeds. Mine's been great...actually made the Illinois winter fun.

Congrats on the purchase! Its good to see the car has been in the same family its whole life....definitely a good sign.
  6. Sorry about your Z being stolen. Hope it turns up soon.
  7. Totally agree with Frank. Mine handles better and looks better with the lowered suspension. IMO a stock S30 sits too high on the wheels.
  8. Thats a beautiful car. Providing there's no rust in any of the hidden areas, I'd say the price is pretty reasonable.
  9. Rust, rust and rust! Look carefully at all the usual spots...lift the carpet and check out the floor pans. Look underneath the car especially the frame rails. Also look under the hood, particularly the battery tray. These are all common spots for rust. Rust should be your main consideration.....the mechanical stuff you can easily deal with!

Welcome to the site John! I feel your pain.....I have two cars and a bike I can't drive/ride because of the snow/cold. Frustrating!
  13. I've seen that video before, and I'm highly skeptical. All 300Z TT ET times I've seen are around 15 seconds whereas the 350Z times were high 13s/low 14s. And no way a stock 260Z comes anywhere close.
  14. I had a kid ask me if my 280ZX was a Porsche. Also a former girlfriend thought my 350Z was a Porsche (needless to say, she was blonde :stupid:).
  15. Wasn't there a story about some old guy that had a '77 280Z for a daily driver and it had like 600,000 or 700,000 miles? I believe the story was on this site. Wish I could remember the details.
  16. According to that, my stock 280ZX-T will do a 14.6 quarter mile. I'll take that! (most magazines have it at 15.0- 15.5). The calculator must not take into account turbo lag.
  17. Some nice pics indeed. I'll take that Sunset Orange Z!

Very nice car! I agree with the Ferrari comment. They're usually compared more to Jaguar or Porsche....but I think its more aligned with the Ferrari. Definitely some Italian influence.

    Don't feel bad, I only got 13 also.:disappoin
  20. Wow, I had no idea they were worth that kind of money either. Great-looking car.
  21. Sad to hear it!
  22. Mine was originally 112 yellow. A previous owner painted it grey.....I had a hard time deciding on painting it back to 112 or 905 red. Finally decided on 905 red.
  23. Wow...thats a great looking car. Nice purchase!
